Do they have these rights?

I'm 21.I have 2 daughters,ages 4 and a baby(3 months).I have a boyfriend(27).We usually invite our friends(3 of them are drug fiends,the other 4 drink).We play music and make our parties at night.Don't worry - the kids are in their room while we have our parties(which include sex sometimes).Anyway,someone(don't know who) called the police last week and they asked us to turn down the music and asked to look in the house.I didn't let them.But they saw my 4-year-old daughter(she came to ask what's wrong).They called the CPS but while they were out,our friends went out(to their homes) and my boyfriend and I cleaned and hid the drugs(they had forgotten some).The CPS wanted to look around and we let them.They didn't find anything unusual.They asked my daughter about the life here(I had told her what to say,she lied of course).Do they have the right to ask her anything if I don't agree?And do they have the right to look around the house if I don't let them?

Sorry to tell you this, but they have the right to do anything they want. If you are putting your children in danger, they can and will take them out of your houshold. They can search your toilet if they even thin there might be something there. Also, they have the right to ask your child anything they want. I am not trying to put your mothering skills down, but is this the way you want your children raised? What happens one night when one of your druggie friends passes out, wakes up in the middle of the night and ends up rapping your 4 yr old daughter. Yes, you would be to blame and you can say bye bye to your children. Either you need to make a change or give your children to someone who has common sense.

Isabel D...read your own question and you don't need any one but you to address it.You have a 4 year old ]child and 3 month old infant. Then you invite you drug using booze using "Friend's" so you can play loud music and party with your friends. But according to you it's OK to close the kid sin their room while you have sex parties. Then you get angered when the CPS and the police are concerned enough to check on the welfare of your kids....while your primary goal was to hide the drugs and teach your kids lie to the authorities. The police always have the authority to check on claims of possible child neglect including talking with the kids. You do have the right to present during any questioning, but your boyfriend unless his name in on the birth certificate.

Get a better class of friends or at least spend some of your drug use money to hire a responsible babysitter...one older and more mature than you seem to be.

Don't be surprised if the PD and agents of the CPS come and take your kids away from you and the downward spiral you lives are taking. Sorry, no rosy words from here.

Oh, whats the matter did the neighbors call the police on your little sex, drug, alcohol *cough* party? Look all the police need to do is suspect that something is not right in that house. They get a search warrent and pay you an unsuspecting visit. They search the disgusting house while the child protection services take the children away, preferably for good! Why didn't you just get 2 abortions? You would have saved the poor kids from seeing/hearing your disgusting parties and from potentionally getting raped. Because if there is stoned, drunk men in the house the girls are eventually going to get raped! Hope the child protection services come before that happens. Otherwise there will just be two more drunk, crack whores! Just what the world needs, right!?

Why in the world would you want to expose your children to that type of lifestyle? You have every right to "have some fun" everyone needs to blow off some steam somehow....but why not go somewhere else and get a sitter for your kids? Better yet find a more legal responsible way to have fun. What if your 4 year old daughter got a hold of some of those drugs that were left behind? What if she took them? Your infant daughter will be crawling in a few months...what if she found something and ingested it?? Have you ever asked yourself those questions? Doesn't the fact that you asked your 4 year old to LIE tell you that what you are doing is WRONG? CPS has every right to ask questions of you as long as you are having children in your custody if someone has rendered a complaint which the police officer obviously did. It is my advice to you that you cease and desist your irresponsible behavior before you lose your kids. CPS will be back...they always make more than one visit....usually unannounced. I will be praying for your poor children.

they can do It and will do it to protect the girls.They were called because someone thought they were not safe in the house. I understand your young and like to party but Its not proper to have things going on like you say with the children in the other room. If the police feel your children are in danger next time they will be taken away. Do you want that? I wouldgrow up and be a parent. A better role model for my kids Yes They have the right to do and ask whatever they choose in the best interest of the child. If you love them you will change your ways. If not just keep it up they will be gone hopefully to a home where they are safe and secure

Yes CPS has the right to question your children if they think that their well-being is at risk. You should be ashamed to have this type of activity going on in your house around a 4 year-old and a three month old. You should think about the fact that one of your so called friends could possiblyhurt one of your children, especially the 4 year old girl. These aren't your true friends. It's obvious that they are using you. Grow up and take responsiblity for your kids. I'd report you if I knew who you were.

They don't have the right to do any of it. Just refuse.

Of course, they'll leave and come back with a warrant in 3 hours if they think you're hiding something. Then they can do whatever the heck they want, including searching the house, questioning your daughter and destroying your furniture.

I don't really know what to tell you except that getting impregnated at 17 and spending the next 4 years partying with sex and drugs and loud music in the presence or near presence of your infant child is, well, it's stupid, kiddo.
Of course you got the cops called on you.

yes they have the right and your children would be better off without you teaching your 4 year old to lie about her unhappiness having drugs and sex openly in your house how would you feel if your daugther go ahold of drugs while you were to out of it to notice and dies.and cps has every right in the world to enter your house and question your child even take your child if they see fit and you have no power to stop them and they do not need a search warrant think of how your 4 year old will fill when cps rips her from your arms and takes her to a foster home if theres one available or sits her in a police station do you think about your children at all. what do those babies do when you are hung over and passed out what a horriable exsistance for them its hard to believe there is a god in the world who would give precious babies to losers like you i hope they take those babies and that they lock you up and for god's sake tie your tubes you dont deserve to have children.

Why in the world would you think its ok to have drug fiends involved in sex parties around your children? What is wrong with you? I dont care of they are in their room or not... Having tha many drunk and high people are your kids... is that safe? If something happened to your kids would you be sober enough to know? Im usually one for keeping everyone out of my business but in this situation your kids are in danger... use your brain.. you have kids and they need to come first... before they get taken away

I'm not going to talk about the rights aspect, because frankly, I don't think you have any left. Please think about this: your 4-year-old came out of her room to ask what was wrong. Are you kidding yourself that she does not know about your parties with sex, drugs and rock 'n roll? How could she not?

So you taught her to lie. She's four years old and you have taught her to lie to authorities because her mom and dad (is he her dad?) are having parties with drugs and alcohol in the living room while she is trying to sleep in the bedroom? What, exactly, do you think is going to become of that child as she grows up?

Frankly, it is people like you who make the whole CPS power trip possible. Granted they are a bunch of nosy bureaucrats who get in other people's business. But Honey, those kids need better parents and a better life than you are currently giving them, and I'm not going to do my usual bureaucrat-bashing this time.

Clean up your act! If you do, your daughter will learn about people who recover from such downward paths, and go on to live productive, healthy lives. Some of the best people in the world are recovering alcoholics and addicts. Go for that; this life you have been living is going to lead to worse than hell.
