Atheism? Evolution? Abiogenesis is a theory that does not have to do with either.
Here is one article.

"Abiogenesis may have occurred in hydrothermal vents under the ocean, which would have been shielded from ultraviolet light."

Ask yourself how the very first cell in a hostile environment could possibly live long enough to replicate, develop a method of digestion, or for that matter even figure out how to eat. I just don't see that as a possibility. Even the simplest cells are not so simple.
Scientist with all their knowledge and equipment cant even figure out
how to create a cell in a laboratory. Let alone out of nothing!

Creation and Evolution do not compete. Nor or they contradictory. They actually complement.... go together.
There is a designer...a creator. God. Now how long (according to our thinking) it took God to put everything in place...who knows? I don't.
For all I know this planet has been spiraling about for millions of years. There may well be some species that took eons to develop (evolve). Again I don't know. But, if Earth is millions of years old and there is an evolutionary fossel record...its because God designed and created it.
That should take care of everybody in both camps. God Bless
P.S. An Earlier posting to respond the the dinosaur question here:

Read the Book of Job chapter 40
Ok...follow this...Job 40:15: besides you, I made Behemoth that feeds on grass like an ox.
Job 40:17: He carries his tail like a cedar; the sinews of his thighs are like cables
Job40:18: His bones are like tubes of bronze; his frame is like iron rods
Job 40:20: For the produce of the mountain is brought to him, and all wild animals he makes sport.
Job 40:23: If the river grows violent, he is not disturbed; he is tranquil though the torrent surges about his mouth.
Sounds a bit like Jurassic Park, doesn't it? What other animals do we know of that have tails like a cedar tree. None. No cows, horses, hippos, nothing.
And this guy is big...really big. No other animal can contend with it. It reaches very high places for food, And flooded swift moving rivers have no effect on him.
Even the dinosaur is accounted for in scripture....imagine that.

the problem becomes:
1) where did the cell come from?
2) how many "once in an eternity" coincidences need to have occurred for there to be so many different species?
3) how do we know that God is not a super geneticists and that the cells came from His attempt to create life?
4) and we have to believe that al of this happened on the one planet that all of the good gasses and liquids just happened to gravitate to?
and as far as the complexity and fractals answer, i find it amazing that ALL of the animals and MAN just happened to appear at the same time.
of course, i cannot account for the dinosaurs, that this scientist knows existed, but one day, i will know the answer.
i wonder if we proved the existience of intelligent dinosaurs and they lived for so long that there was not anymore room on their planet for them to bury their dead. does this mean that they picked the earth to be their new graveyard and we might have evolved from their dead and decaying cells? bwah-ha-ha

Eh? 'Blurry'
You mean what evolution originally described? Simple - cyclic environment interaction forming an algorithm by which certain traits are more likely to be present in succeding generations.
What was so hard about that? It is getting it started that is the hard bit!

Yes, it does seem so unlikely as to be impossible. But remember, we're talking about hundreds of millions of years, perhaps a billion years. Once simple RNA like molecules formed, it would be natural that ones that produced some kind of protective layer of proteins would be more likely to survive. With millions of years for that to happen (and millions of liters of space) even something highly unlikely could have happened. In hindsight, it's clear that it did.

nothing is just a word we say to desribe something thats purely empty so something and nothing has always exhisted because you cant have nothing without something to say that its nothing so there had to of been a surface of something and nothing in the purest forms and all was is and will be now how do you collect all matter in one body to see the atom and the first son of gods first questionwheather _something _or _nothing would be first think about enos verses the son now try doing nothing and nothing will be done but heaven your voice and ear-ith what you say and i will bet that ,heaven ,and ,earth eventualy says H.A.E and the something and nothing is sane like husband and wife and the wife and husband see the wah and make love in the hae because first you gotta talk to each other before the children are created, the trees are the people and being somewhere between?having troubles with your prefurence?well thats what it sounds like ,and perhaps the blurry space is the moment of amazement that you experience in finding the one for you ,when adam and eve were born out of blindness their confussion was like fairey read sword that turned every wah like god on the mission to create a light as him self went so fast through out the heavens that he finds him self and the fusion like confusion you see both sides and the children seeing each other are confused but if god is every thing then both are part of god too like as we are and we being further along teach them as best as we can to bring adam and eve out of their blindness that they see the correct wah like {who what when where why and how}like 7 words and 7 days with sat-are days continueal {and} and sundays how as using the light of love and wisdom to command a self choice of what wahs to follow and do

Fractals show how from the simple the complicated is constructed. There is no difficulty from going from a single cell to a complex multi-celled organism, no difficulty at all. All it needs is time for the complexity to develop which is exactly what evolution had.
