One of my favorite dog movies is "Fluke". It's about a man who dies and returns as a dog. Only he remembers parts of his previous life. It's a bit of a murder mystery / love story. The part at the end when he sweeps away the snow from his grave and his wife sees "Forever" written on the stone... it just makes me tear up every time...
Other dogs of fame... WISHBONE!
Frasier's dad's dog "Eddie" played by "Moose" (my name) - recently died.
And who could forget RUN JOE RUN!!

It was a cute Idea. I really love all those dogs, but I think having Lassie first is too expected.
