Police. Call them and ask what the ordinance is. Landlords don't care. If you complain to the slumlords, you are the problem because you made work for them. After all, it's their slum...you think they want to maintain a slum if they are that lazy in the first place? :) j/k

They have levels they must maintain. Irreguardless of Rap, Barry Manalowe(sp?), or the Hindi wedding party. However you can't get them to turn it off 'all the time'. That's not fair. They shouldn't bug you if your baby cries everyonce in a while either. They might need a noise permit if they have a band or something, and they want to run it during the day. But, after like 10 pm I'd tell them to go to the bar and rock out. Again, check w/the cops. Not to be mean, but to be fair. Other people are having the same problem, but are afraid to say anything. You are a brave person.

If you live in an apartment complex, complain to the front office and have them take care of it.

Also, you could leave a note on their door asking them to give the music a rest. That way, you don't have to deal with it face to face. And if those don't work, file a noise complaint with the police department.

Good Luck!

well first ask the neighbor nicely to turn it down, explain your situation, if the neighbor ignores your request then the best bet is to call the cops for peace disturbance if you have a curfew on noise limit.

if you don't want to face them personally,or call the police, leave a note in their mailbox, saying all your neighbors would appreciate it very much if you could please keep your music down.!!! and this way they won't know it was you, its worth a try.If they have any respect for their neighbors this should work.

try talking to them first...tell them the whole story!

if that doesn't work--threaten calling the police

if that doesn't work CALL POLICE and keep calling each and every time--and press CHARGES if asked to by the cops.
