I think a few people here are missing the point. It sounds like your complaint is that you can't use a racial slur, but you can use a gender related slur? Well, if it's any consolation, in polite society, none of the above are acceptable. These are all lower class ways of speaking. It's true that the slurs against women are perhaps more common. This is due to our own actions. Various races have siezed their equality, and have put their foot down about certain words and other improprieites. While women have technically taken hold of equal rights, I think a lot of women have lost sight of what they wanted. The suffragettes wanted to be reckoned as more than the sum of their reproductive ogans- so why is it, that half the t shirts I see today have words like "pornstar" or "hottie" scrawled across the chest? And they're worn by would-be feminists? If we want these things to stop, we have to make people realise that we can be taken seriously. This is true no matter what group is represented by the "we" in that statement.

The word "***-ger" is seen as far more offensive than the other two words you mentioned. It is considered offensive by both black people and politically correct white people. The reason it is far more offensive is because of the phenomenom of "Asscociation of ideas" The word has been used many times in the past by evil, stupid and ignorant white people such as those morons who are in the KKK. When you consider all of the racism and segregation that black people have had to suffer, then it does not take an intelectual genius to work out that many black poeple quite understanably asscociate the word with all of the hatred and evilness that their race has been subjected to in the past and in some cases the present.
It is still stupid, pointless and counter productive for black people to be offended by such a word because the very act of them being offended by it ensures that the white racists who use such a word have power over the black people who hate the word. If black people made a conscious effort to not be offended by the word then they would be taking back the power that white racists have over them. (White racists have the power to hurt their feelings)
Many black people are not ready to think the way I suggest and so the word remains deeply offensive and hurtful to black people. Logic dictates therefore, that it would be most appropriate for white people to simply stop using the word, simple.
You might be seen by some people as quite ignorant for not realising this already but I applaud your honesty.
PS You say it is alright to refer to women as "bitches" and "hoes" In some cases that is alright because in some cases it is actually true.

Who here refers to the person next to them as whitey? or ******? I call you by your name not your color. If we were back i the early 20th century, I'm sure that saying ****** didn't make you racist because everyone that wasn't black was saying it. Now it's different, blacks hold positions of power, they now are considered to be role models to millions of kids, as is the case of sports stars, unfortunately rap stars are also amongst these idols. they are equals, back then the word ****** was used to describe their lack of education and poverty. but thats not the case anymore. As I was saying, blacks have improved their way of life in leaps and bounds, I bet that you can turn the tv on.. and on any channel you will see a black person, I bet you can watch political debates and you will see black politicians, Condoleza Rice, Collin Powell, are some examples. If you say ****** now, you are not racist but you are being rude. and ignorant to the meaning of the word. Now I know that not all black people are succesful, but you can't say that for any race. Now as for rappers and thugs that promote negativity, hate and violence towards anyone..... only one word describes them... TRASH. and that goes for any race.

same reason it's ok to call someone "white boy". Socio-political correctness. Blacks are a favored race today, and so any words that offend them become against societal law. Because blacks are using the terms "bitches" and "hoes", white idiots think it must be good and emulate them. Because blacks insult white men by calling them "white boy", white idiots think it must be funny, so they laugh.

The term"*****" was used well before African slavery even began, and the term "hoe" is slang for whore, and has no racial connotations. Therefore, it would make no sense to call users of these terms racists.
