I'll be glad to help you out. As far as food goes, you are going to have to be disciplined or focused on what you are to consume. (1)have 2-3 eggs per week
(2)2 slices of whole wheat toast per day
(3)do not have any chicken, or turkey, or red meat
(4)eat fish only
(5)have legumes
(6)have lots of salads
(7)have lots of steamed veggies
(8)have lots of fruit
(9)do not drink any milk
(10)drink soy milk-it does not matter what flavor that you choose
(11)drink lots of water
(12)do lots of aerobic exercises daily-for example, swimming, walking, and jogging
(13)by the way be sure to have a daily multi-vitamin pill, and thats because when you diet you have a tendency to be missing some vitamins and minerals, and you need to replace it with the ones that you are missing
I hope that this helps you out, and good luck. By the way you will find that at the beginning you will lose weight fast, and then it will slow down. This is a normal process because it means that you are losing lots of water.
Finally, one other thing, Don't let anyone bother you by making fun of you just because you are over-weight. You are still a person, and I'm sure, a very nice person at that!!

It's really not that hard. All you need to do if you're SERIOUS about losing the weight- is eat lots of vegetables, lean meats & fish- and avoid breads, pasta, potatoes, and heavy snacking. If you can totally avoid the starchy stuff- you can actually eat all the meat & veggies you can stand- & still lose weight. Getting some excersize (even if it's just going for an hours walk every day) is a big help too. Oh- & keep hydrated. If you drink plenty of water with your meals- more of what you eat will remain in "solution" longer- & that will help out your diet- also. Good luck!

i am in the process of trying to lose some big weight as well. you should be focusing more on the exercise rather than the diet. i always thought if i dieted i could get by without exercising, but i never followed through on any diet. i have been working out 3 days a week for a month without dieting, and i am already seeing great results. now i am starting to work in little things.
there is no quick fix to this, so why cut everything out at once? cut out things little by little. if you drink soda, start drinking diet soda. then cut out soda alltogether. cutting sugar is more important than cutting calories. protein is very important, try to balance all the carbs you eat with protein. hardboiled eggs are a great source of protein. goldfish is a great snack to have, and it sounds weird but eat a piece of ham with it. i have much more but i won't take up the space here. email me if you would like to talk more, i am in the same boat as you!

Healthy bodies require only two things. Think of it like that:
the right food *
exercise half an hour a day
Every day take a look at your calender. For the days that you do both adequately you are doing well and make a green circle. If you didn't do both then don't put anything. If you don't start seeing more circles soon, talk to your doctor.
*The right food can be found here:

The really can help!

Almost any diet plan nowadays is a complete waste of time and a joke. Main and simple key, do what you body and mind tell you to do and what you know you should be eating. All natural, balanced meals, eating right and (exercise) will be the only way you will lose weight and remain healthy and safe

The best thing to do is completely cut the junk food. Eat protein to fill you up so you don't get so hungry.
Eat a lot of fresh fruits and vegetable and don't eat any simple carbs.
Exercise, and just stick with it for a couple months.
I am sure it will work.

Focus on fruit, veggies and whole grains. Avoid all fried and processed foods. Make sure that your foods are as fresh as can be. Limit red meats and broil or bake your poultry and fish. Don't forget to exercise and drink lots of water. Take time to find a really good book to help guide you along. Good Luck!

Much of the advice here is good. I would add that you need to see a doctor and especially a dietician. If you don't know what is good or bad or what to do, invest in someone who does. You're going to need to eat for the rest of your life and you better learn right now how to do it. Exercise is the other component of course. That's easier....just start doing it.

eat less and exercise. you don't need any fad diets. most of them are only temporary and then you eat what ever you want after you lose the pounds.
