Everyone's doing it, its the cool thing to do. Isn't that what they teach kids in school nowadays, just say Yes when it comes to god. Other then that there is the theory that you will go to heaven if you believe in god or hell if you don't. But that's after you die, and the only way your beliefs will really affect your life is how people judge you, which in a perfect society wouldn't happen at all.

OK... this is the answer that you'll pick. You watch.

Why should anyone believe that there is a God? Is there a God? Who knows? Some people say there is, and some say there isn't... but who really knows? The bible? Nope... the bible is a book that wasn't first written in English... it had to be translated... and it could've said anything... it could've been a recipe for bread for all any one really knows. Plus, how can the bible, being old as all get up, be CHANGED numerous times over the years and still be right? It CAN'T!! If you get arrested for something... you tell the cops one story and then later down the line you tell them something else, what are they gonna think? They'll think you're lying about something... right?

Is there a God? I don't know... no one knows. Everyone has their own opinion. Pure opinion, there is no factual information on whether or not there is a God. The whole story of Free will, that's a load... someone made that up because the fact that people could chose NOT to believe was messing with their business of everyone HAVING to believe in God. That's the only way you'll be saved, is if you believe in God. Saved from what? From Hell? Is there really a Hell to begin with? If so, then where is this Hell, and how do people know about it? I doubt that anyone would've ever come back from such a place right? I don't think so... I think that whole topic is brainwashing at it's best... look at Scientology... same thing. They believe in one "God." They believe that their way of life is the best and only way...

The whole God, religion topic only EVER raises more questions, well for me anyway.

YOU have to decide what to believe... no one else. Not me, not the other million people that say you should believe in God, cause the bible says so... hogwash... you figure it out. Then come talk to me... I'm sure we could have lengthy discussions about this topic.

Later

If you are looking to be convinced, maybe your subconscious really understands that there is a God and is hoping to convince the rest of you. Maybe you should look into your own mind and feelings for the convincing argument. Religion and faith is not something that anyone can decide for you, you have to decide for yourself. Sounds like you know what some of the teachings are, and if in fact you do want to know more about God, maybe you should talk with an elder of a church or a pastor, or priest or someone who can not only tell you about these things, but also discuss your feelings with you, and help you sort through them.

I can't. If you have been brainwashed into thinking God isn't real, you will not believe no matter much evidence anyone gives you.

I haven't always believed. I was hurt by the church along time ago. I was sick of seeing people that claimed to be Christian but weren't I also studied evolution etc and felt that the Bible was written by those that wanted to control society, especially women.

It took God to convince me. There was nothing that anyone could have said. My heart was closed to the facts.

If you need to be convinced then you should just leave it alone. Why do you need someone to force you to believe in God? You should do it out of your own free will. I highly doubt anyone on here would give you a good enough reason to convince you to believe if you don't already. Faith, or lack thereof, is a personal choice and if you don't feel it, you don't feel it. There is no forcing an emotion you simply do not have.

Others can only tell you that they believe that Jesus Christ is the son of God. There's nothing in the Bible to try and convince anyone that God exists. What would it take to convince you?

Why should I convince you why? You either desire to believe or not. No one can decide that for you.

Be a free thinker and search out the answer for yourself, you might actually be surprised. Science can only account for maybe 10% of what we know as our world. They have the theory of the big bang, but the further they examine, the more their equations fail.

Just something to think about

Blaise Pascal the French mathematician put it like this: If you live a Christian life but God doesn`t exist you lose very little. But if you don`t accept Christianity and God does exist you risk spending an eternity in Hell.

Because he sent his only Son to die for your's and everyone else's Sins!

Jesus died on a cross in a Very ugly way just for all of us

Remember that faith is just that! It is for things not seen!

Don't let this ugly world tell you that Christ is a joke or anything else.

Please, just believe that Jesus died for your Sins and mine.

Also, let Jesus into your heart. Ask him into your heart. Tell him that you know that you're a sinner and that you need his eternal gift!

God Bless you! :)

You should not say that. You should believe God. God is, He gave you the free will to make up your mind on your own. Seek and you will find. He will stand at the door and knock. Everyone will get the chance to choose, what will your choice be?
