Would rather the boy be blunt? Should it be ceremonial? Romantic? What if you know you don't like the boy? Would you like it to be in public or private?
Not that you have to answer any of the questions about but in general how do you like being told that a boy likes you?

It depends on the girl, and the situation. For example if you're close friends a good way to tell her would be like to take her to a special place you guys like doing stuff together at, and telling her there. If, however, you're not like best friends telling her at work is okay (only if she wouldn't mind and depending on the work), or just when you see her.
Just remember never tell her anything unless you are sure she might like you back, you know her well enough, and shes not seeing anybody. Also, remember to ask in a way as to not pressure her into answering you right away. For example "You don't have to give me an answer right now..." or something.

Well, I think it depends on what's ur kind of girl in this case.
Some girls like to be ceremonial - in romantic way- , while others prefer backwards - not too serious, just casual, n no romance.
Anyway, I prefer the "casual" way. Go to a cool place, n no "dinner" please... It would be best if u tell in private, face to face that u like her.
But most of all, I think no matter how u do it, as long as it comes from ur heart, it will still looks great.

I'd say be a little romantic in your presentation. Invite the girl over for dinner or something and just tell her how you feel and ask her if she wants to go on a date sometime.

lol my daughter just came home the other day and told me that she found a note in her locker that had just a phone # on it.she was curious and called it.found out it was a guy that she likes. good luck.

I would want the person telling me to say "I know someone that likes you!" in a sing songy voice, then tell me who. Actually, I don't really care as long as someone tells me!
