Usually german Shepherds. I don't have a dog now, as i live in a metro area, but when I do get another dog....well, you guessed it, another German Shepherd!

Ive always had a black lab in my life, ever since i was a small child. Labs in general are the best family dog. To me they are the most loyal of breeds. They are of medium size, however they usually have a laid back personality, with some energy so they do well living in a house with their people. They also enjoy having a little bit of a yard. (doesnt have to be too big). But if you dont have a yard a couple walks a day would be sufficiant. They also love to swim. I think i would be really quite lonely without a lab around as they are quite personable animals. They also LOVE children. My black lab also loves cats. When we got him as a puppy we also got a kitten a couple months later, once they decided they were not going to hurt eachother, The cat would go up to angus and rub against him like she would on our legs. Then when my cat got sick and died, Angus was really sad, always looking for the cat, so we got a couple kittens and now he is quite happy! They get along really well! If i was ever to get another dog, it would be a lab!

I had a beautiful german shepard/wolf mix. I got him when he was 2 and I was 5, around the time that my life started getting ****** up. He was my angel, he was there for me when no one else was. He protected me when not even my mother would. He passed away when I was 15. He was an Awesome dog!
I have a pit bull mix now, he's a sweetie. He's an awesome dog too! he's a great guard dog, and is very protective of my daughter.

The family had a Cocker Spaniel named "Snuffy" while I was growing up. I've had mixed breeds since. Midnight was black with a star on his chest. He was a chihuahua mix. Later on I had a poodle/pomeranian cross named "Gizmo" after the movie 'Gremlins'. I had her for over 15 years. No dogs at the present time, but I really miss having one.

I had a gorgeous large Irish Setter named Rusty. When I would walk him, cars would stop and the people would stare, he was so stunning!
Now, as an adult I have a 22 pound sweetheart also named Rusty. He is a Lhaso Ahpso/Terrier mix. He is so cute people love him as well. He is also great with my 3 and 6 year old boys. He loves our black cat Bobby too. He is very protective, I can't even roughouse with the boys, or my wife for that matter.
The reason we named him Rusty is because my oldest boy remembered that when I was a kid, my dog was named Rusty, and named him.
We have the best cat and dog in the world. The cat speaks for Rusty, he is shy. When he is hungry or wants something, Bobby tells me, very funny.

I had a toy poodle that lived to 17 years, and was still fertilizing everything. Now I have what I think is a quite unique mix of dog, he is Rot and wiener(rottenweinner) he has the markings and looks of a Rot, but a long body and almost no legs, and weighs in at 65+ lbs.

When I was younger I had 2 German Shepherds and 1 Wolf Hybrid. It was cool because, the wolf liked me more than anything. It was soo close to me. See my 2 shepherds, one was a retired police dog that my dad adopted from a police friend, his name was ranger, and the other was a formally abused dog that would try to kill anyone but my dad, his name was Collie(for some reason, my dad renamed him that) Well I was little and loved dogs, and I was out playing with Bones, the wolf(who was white) And I saw ranger and collie in their pens, and me being Little, thought they were lonely and wanted to play, so first I let ranger out, who didnt do much. then I went to let collie out, who was snarling and trying to bite me, and before I could, Bones grabbed the back of my shirt and pulled me away to safety. I started crying and my dad came to check on me. He then lectured me when i told him what I was doing. Me and Bones were best friends after that. Now I own a Jack Russle, 9 years and a rott, lab mix, 3 years. Both from a shelter. my jack russle, Jacky, Has been with me for 7 years, and Mo, my mutt, for 1 year and a half. I love them both, even though Jacky is growing slower, and fatter, I try to Keep them both Happy.
