If every part of the theories of God comes from a fellow human's mind, what makes others follow that theory like fanatics?

Why can't one (who still believe in God) not follow the true narrow way and worship God, honor him in their own ways?? Why does it have to be "just like others"???

You have a point. But, don't let that make feel any less about our creator. If you feel it difficult to determine what religion, what text Bible, Koran, etc., may I suggest you pray (talk) towards who you believe and feel in your heart is the creator of our world.

I have foound that I am very spiritual, I beleive in a maker of our world; yet have trouble with churches and believing it necessary that one must follow a particukar instruction set to please our kind and loving "father".

Because I do believe we are created in the image of our creator, I allow myself to "pretend" as though I were in "his/her" shoes to determine what and how to lead my spiritual life. I personally believe that there is no formula one must follow or they fail the test of life and are punished to excruciating pain for eternity.

I do believe in asking my "pops" (I have coffee with him in the mornings and talk to him thrughout (sp) the day as my greatest friend) to please come into my heart and show me the path of which I'm meant to take in life.

In summary, I as I stated, have similiar feelings about the whole church/religious aspect. I therefore "go to the source" and as a kind loving caring father would do, I ask and allow him to come into my heart and guide me via of my spirit along life's path.

Too long? (Sorry, good thing we're not at a coffe shop...lol).
I do hope I provided a little bit of an idea as to handle the confusion I percieve you are having.

Sincerely,
glenn

If I knew where the 10 commandments tablets were, your request would be done. God is not a theory but a fact to those who believe in him with personal proofs and experiences. What makes you and other unbelieving fanatics obsessed with religion and its followers? The human mind cannot fathom the reality of God because of the lack of spirituality. We All worship in our own way and it is not just like others.

Every one worships differently. Each person has a different personality and understands god a different way. It doesn't have to be just like every one else. I think what you are frustrated with is that people expect you to change your outward behavior to their standards and yet you haven't figured out what having a personal relationship with God looks like for you.

In a friendship you have two people that take each other JUST the way they are and love each other for it. And then the longer you are friends the more you become like one another. That is what it is to be in worship to God. Be in relationship and allow that relationship to love you, charish you, and change you. Worship is your every day life given over to what you love most.
And now I am going to let my humor out on this one:
Technically all the books aren't writien by human hands. that would be bloody, but to add just that much more humor to this, is a computer is sufficent for not using human hands. What you are asking is, show me something not created by human inteligence and Here is what I have to say about that:

1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was with God in the beginning.
3 Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. 4 In him was life, and that life was the light of men. 5 The light shines in the darkness, but the darkness has not understood it.

There is no such thing has a religious text that was written by God's hand. God uses humans to teach his word.

LDS Articles of Faith 1:11, "We claim the privilege of worshiping Alnighty God according to the dictates of our own conscience, and allow all men the same privilage, let them worship how, where, or what they may."

If you don't believe as I do, good. Worship as you want, who you want and How you want. It's up to you.

That is an awsome question.

As far as text written NOT by human hands, there are none. They are believed to be divinly inspired.

As far as following the and worshiping God in your own way, that is exactly what each and everyone of us do.

Let's say you and I believe in the exact same religion. Through our individual absorbing of that belief, we create a belief which belongs to us. No two people can believe exactly 100% of what the next person believes, it's just not possible.

The bible is you own personal conversation with God. Anyone who tries to tell you that what they read into it is Right and what you read into it is wrong, well, they are trying to break that connection you have with God yourself.

I hope that helps.

The only thing ever written by God that I'm aware of is the 10 commandments. And shouldn't that really be enough?

Ahh, simplicity.

You will not find any part of the bible that was NOT written by human hands. But those hands were inspired by our loving creator. That's what makes it so unique. The bible shows us how we should treat each other . It is full of information that is there for our benefit.

What you're saying, as I understand you, is why can't all roads lead to Rome? Why can't we just worship God any way we wish
? I live in Los Angeles. If I take the 10 freeway I can drive straight to Phoenix. In essence, what you are asking is why do I have to take the 10 freeway to get to Phoenix? Why can't I just take any freeway? Because all the other freeways do not lead to Phoenix. If you want to get to heaven you had better make sure all religions lead to heaven. Here's what christianity says. God is a Holy, Righteous God who can have nothing to do with sin. Even though he loves all sinners and wants all of them to be with him in heaven, no matter how bad they were on earth, it is impossible for a Perfectly, Holy, Righteous God to allow sin in his presence. So he sent his only Son Jesus Christ to pay for the sins of the world so the most vile sinners the world has ever known would still have a chance to go to heaven if they accepted his pardon and turned their life over to Christ. Do you know for a fact that what I just described about God is not true? Let's just suppose it is true. In that case, the other ways wouldn't work. What good would budism, Islam, hinduism and so on do since neither Buda, nor Mohammad, nor Krishna nor any of the rest of the religious leaders died for your sins or even claimed to. You can worship God any way you want just as you can get on any freeway and drive hoping to get to Phoenix. But you better make sure that freeway goes to Phoenix. I, personally, don't believe the old smorgasborg view of religions which is what you're espousing. It's the idea that you just pick whatever religion you want, they're all the same. Actually, all religions diametrically contradict all other religions and they all say they are coming from God. Logically, the law of non-contradiction just leaves us 2 choices here:1) one is true and all the rest are false 2) they're all false(that has to be considered a logical possibility). But the one option that's not possible is that they are all true(not if they all contradict each other).
Let's just pick two of them, Christianity and Islam. Christianity says that Jesus Christ died 2000 years ago on a cross and that's written in their Holy book, the Bible which they say is coming from God. Islam says Jesus Christ did not die on a cross 2000 years ago and that's written in their Holy book the Koran(which they also say is coming from God). My question is, what actually happened 2000 years ago? You can't have it both ways. Either he did die on a cross or he didn't die on a cross. If he did then Islam is not a true revelation from God because Islam says he didn't die on a cross(can God be wrong?). If he didn't die on a cross than christianity is wrong. You could do that for every other religion because they all diametrically contradict each other. You just have to examine the Holy books for the big religions and see if they have any evidense of coming from God. I've done that and I have become convinced that the Bible does have that signature of God and that christianity is the true way. You may not agree and you have every right to disagree but please don't waste your time with the all roads lead to Rome view. All roads don't lead to your mothers house. Just get in your car and try it sometime(driving to your mothers house by taking any road). http://www.ankerberg.com

All of the Bible was written by human authors and of their own intellect and abilities. The Divine truths of God's revelations are inspired by God through the action of the Holy Spirit.

hi mira.

there are no texts, that i know of, that have not been written by man, on this earth. if they are in existence on our plane, then i have no knowledge of them.

that does not mean that the texts that are in existence are false. i dont kno what you mean by "just like others" but believe me, we are not.

there are those in our congregation that disagree with the "mainstream" philosophies of our church, at times. we discuss and come to an agreement, but sometimes that agreement is to merely disagree with each other.

there are some very basic rules laid out in the old testament and in the new testament. as a believer if the christian bible, i cannot agree that just believing in God's existence is enough to earn you salvation.

as a christian, i believe that Jesus was Christ in human form and that His sacrafice of mortal life is what absolves me of my sins, if i accept Him as my saviour and God as His Father and Creator of the earth and heavens.

God is NOT a figment of man's imagination. dont let those who profess that there is no God to sway you, and dont let the evolutionist trick you.

there is no evidence in evolution that denies the existence of God, in fact, what there is no evidence of, is the "common ancestor" of the ape and of man, which is referred to as the "missing link."

the only "missing link" in this puzzle, is the inablilty of the hardcore evolutionists to place God in the equation.
