Check his sinuses, or have him do it. A stuffy nose can cause snoring. Over the counter medication can help with this. Then make him sleep on his back, and invest in a good pair of ear plugs, Krogers and Drug Stores sell them.

A sleep clinic visit would be a good idea if the stuffy nose idea doesn't pan out (and you can afford it). They may have some more advice.

Sleep apnea is a medical condition that causes snoring. A flap in the sufferer's throat closes or contracts when he sleeps. This causes him to stop breathing. He has to breath deeper to get any oxygen so you hear a lot of snoring as the air has to pass through the narrow space. Sleep apnea is a big problem, but it can be fixed by having the patient wear an oxygen mask. The mask should also drown out some of his snoring.

I am not going to try and diagnose your husband, so seeing a doctor is the best idea. If you tell him, "Either the doctor our you sleep on the couch." I think he might realize, that for the future of his marriage, he needs to get some help.

The first step is to tell him though, and don't just chew him out. He doesn't know how bad he is snoring. Of course a tape recorder by your bed can change that. Even if he does know he snores then he probably doesn't know how much it is bothering you. Snoring has forced spouses to sleep in seperate bedrooms and that won't be good for your marriage.

Sounds like your hubby sleeps on his back, but in all chances, he snores in every position! Just like me!! I have allergies, and when they flare up, so does my snoring. My hubby and I have been together 17 yrs, and maybe 5 of them at first, we slept together, but now, we sleep in separate bedrooms, I snore to loud and he tosses and turns..We get much better sleeps, even though he has reverted to ear plugs and the separate rooms,my snoring still drives him nuts.
Now, you may not want to sleep apart, because you think it's not a loving relationship, but I'm telling ya, it helps!! We are moving at the end of the month, and picked a house that has one bedroom at one end and another at the other!!
You may also want to talk with your doctor, your husband may suffer from sleep apnea, which is when the person stops breathing for a second or 2, then lets a big sucked in snore out... it can be dangerous. So which ever way you choose to deal with it, good luck and remember women can snore just as loud as a man!!

He may want to see a doctor. It could be a serious problem called sleep apnea. A doctor will be able to check him out and determine what can be done. If he is overweight, losing weight may help. There is also an operation that can be done. Sometimes the uvula, the little thing that hangs down in the back of the throat, is too large. There is a minor surgical procedure that can make the uvula smaller. Also, he may have enlarged tonsils and adenoids, or even a sinus problem. There are many ways to treat the problem, but he should get it checked out by a doctor to make sure it isn't serious.

Have him go to a sleep clinic to check for sleep apnea. It's a very serious condition and if he snores really loudly, it could be a problem.
In the mean time, make sure he doesn't have any sugary foods before bed and have him sleep on his stomach.

Crazy in a good way. When I met my Gemini schoolmate I knew she either had to be saggitarius or a Gemini. I'm crazy inside and when I'm around a Gemini I let the crazy out. I love it and I love how they make me feel. They're just free and they talk a lot and they take risks.

Snoring can b a sign of serious nasal problems. Try Breathright strips, they worked for me. I would suggest u have your husband sleep w/ his head and upper torso @ a 45 degree angle, this will help his breathing. See a dr. for possible sleep apnea/nasal passages could be too small, etc. Best of luck!

Get him a c-pap mask, they sleep better and you hear nothing. My boyfriend has sleep apnea and without it, I would lose my f@cking mind! Get him to a specialist or buy some wax ear plugs, they work better than the others, trust me.

Have him sleep on his stomach and use a very slim pillow. Side is ok too, but stomach is better.
