Satan, like humans, was created for good. Lucifer, his original name was a beautiful name. Lucifer was God's most-favored Angel, but Lucifer became jealous, and wanted the other angels to worship him as well. The angels, also like humans were given free-will. God did not create Lucifer, or Satan, for evil. Satan made the choice to annoint himself "the most high". It is written that along with Satan, 1/3 of Heaven's angels were cast down from heaven. Yes, God created everything, but he chose to not make everything perfect like him for a reason, a reason that we cannot wrap our human minds around. God is the origin of everything, but evil was not in his plans, it was chosen by Satan, and us. Eventually, those who continue to choose evil over good will suffer for eternity, and all will be as it should have been.

Yes, it does. God continues to talk to Satan as they BET over the future of Job. God took the bait and gave Job a grievous illness: "...an evil spirit went out FROM THE LORD and smote Job." And Satan even talks to Jesus on day thirty-nine in the wilderness to tempt him while he's hungry and thirsty.
As near as I can tell, God still holds his Wednesday night poker parties and the regular attendees include Satan, Machiavelli, Jesus, Santa Claus, Tutenkhaman and Alexander Hamilton.

There was a tree of good and evil that Eve took a bite from.
You answered your own question - the Devil tempted Eve and the Devil had a falling out with God. God chooses to do good and the Devil chooses to do whatever.
I sense that you're looking for some smart *** answer anyway, so I'm going to bed.

you cannot blame all of the evil in this world on satan, in the first place.
secondly, if God had denied free will from the angels as another post has claimed, then i imagine that He would not have allowed anybody, including lucifer and the other fallen angels to rebel.

God brought Satan into existence ? this is SO wrong. Satan was a greedy angel who wanted to be as powerful as God even to replace Him.
And for his betrayal he was sent to hell. But this does not mean that God create him.

I expect those who devote energy, space, and time to a belief in a divided spiritual realm view as evil those who devote their energy, space and time to a belief in a unified spiritual realm. My belief in a unified spiritual realm results in my denial of existence of spiritual evil. Maybe those who devote their energy, space and time to ideologies built upon the premise of existence of spiritual evil view my denial of the existence of spiritual evil as evil or as evidence that an evil one has influence over my mind. Maybe some believe that an evil one is ruling Earth in the present. I call some who believe an evil one was cast down from Heaven and rules over Earth "Satan worshippers" for though these individuals may claim to worship a good one in Heaven and believe that in the future good will have final victory over evil, in the present they give an evil one credit for ruling over Earth. I celebrate a belief in an infinity, divinity, eternally, one that manifests as an infinite four and give credit to this perfect entity for ruling over Earth in the past, present and or future.

I have heard theories that god is satan. Most other gods and deities out there are quite schizophrenic, according to all their respective religions.

No. When God created him he was good and the most powerful and beautiful. But he chose to rebe against God because he chose to exercise his free will.
