Not necessarily.

The Catechism of the Catholic Church states:

About Non-Catholic Christians: "Furthermore, many elements of sanctification and of truth" are found outside the visible confines of the Catholic Church: "the written Word of God; the life of grace; faith, hope, and charity, with the other interior gifts of the Holy Spirit, as well as visible elements." Christ's Spirit uses these Churches and ecclesial communities as means of salvation, whose power derives from the fullness of grace and truth that Christ has entrusted to the Catholic Church. All these blessings come from Christ and lead to him."

About Judaism: "The Jewish faith, unlike other non-Christian religions, is already a response to God's revelation in the Old Covenant. To the Jews "belong the sonship, the glory, the covenants, the giving of the law, the worship, and the promises; to them belong the patriarchs, and of their race, according to the flesh, is the Christ"; "for the gifts and the call of God are irrevocable.

About Islam: The plan of salvation also includes those who acknowledge the Creator, in the first place amongst whom are the Muslims; these profess to hold the faith of Abraham, and together with us they adore the one, merciful God, mankind's judge on the last day.

About other non-Christian religions: All nations form but one community. This is so because all stem from the one stock which God created to people the entire earth, and also because all share a common destiny, namely God. His providence, evident goodness, and saving designs extend to all against the day when the elect are gathered together in the holy city.

With love in Christ.

Perhaps, and perhaps not. Why limit this question to Catholic? It would be easy to say yes. Then we can demonize every one who does not follow and believe the Catholic creed and thus justify genocide. For example:
"You don't believe... your life is not worth anything because you are going to hell anyway"
Let the genocide begin.
Look at what the Extreemest Muslim's are doing. Look at the early Christians during the Crusades. It is all the same thing: Intolerance.

I am Christian but I do not believe that nonbelievers have a direct ticket to hell because of non belief. One can not get into another person's brain to see what is going on inside there. Only God has that power.

No, Catholics do not believe that. Quit bashing them already. You have a lot of baiting and rude and false statements geared on here towards Catholics. If you are so religious, which obviously you are not, or a Christian of any faith, which you are not, you would let others have their beliefs. Really childish and pointless. Try to grow up and get a life and move on.

I have read all of your questions. You repeat many of them over and over, all of them bashing Catholics. Pretty lame hobby you have there dear!

NO! Religion is MAN made and consist of beliefs made up of opinions of men. Hell is for the DEVIL'S Followers so they are the only ones that will be going to hell when they die. It doesn't matter what church they go to. a lot of SATAN's followers are planted in churches to do his work so it doesn't matter...Catholic or Non-Catholic..

To be a CHRISTIAN is different and it means to, walk in ways that's pleasing to GOD, Jehovah, believing in the birth and death of his only SON, Jesus Christ...confessing with your mouth that Jesus is LORD, asking for forgiviness of your sins and repenting being truly sorry, inviting him to come live in your heart, and to guide you through this life, everlasting,. when you die you go to heaven if you keep his commandments.

Anyone confessing JESUS being LORD and strives to walk in his ways whether they're Catholic or not gets to heaven.

It's not the Religion that gets you into Heaven..or Hell..It's how YOU conduct your life here on earth and whether you chose the LORD or the DEVIL to be your God of choice to worship while living here on earth...

From my standpoint as a Protestant, I'd say that person goes to Heaven or Hell based upon God's Judgement of what they were in life. Not what the Pope says.

Every religious group thinks the same thing. Their religion will save you from hell. The question is are you willing to buy their story? Who do you think sells their faith better?
