I was wondering if I should burn more calories on my stationery bike or what because I wan't to lose weight but I don't know how long I should be on it, how many calories I should burn, or how many calories I should eat! I was hoping I could get some advice and no critism.

I was also wondering how far I should bike because the new bike I got measures distance, calories, speed, time and heart rate.

Well a stationary bike would be great for exercise. It will get your heart rate up. You should do exercise with your heart up rate for at least 30 minutes a day (if you want to lose weight). You may have to build up to this, but don't worry, you will do that very quickly. What is so great about a stationary bike is that you won't get too bored because you can put it in front of the TV. Either watch a show or put in a movie.

Ignore any criticism. Everyone has his or her opinion and you need to do what works for you. Just cut down on your calories and do your bike for a couple of weeks. If you are happy with your weight loss continue to do this. If you are not losing fast enough, cut down more on your calories and increase your exercise. Remember not to cut down to starvation on your calories, you will lose muscle and not feel well.

Good luck to you. In no time you will lose the weight you want to.

It takes 20 minutes of anything before your body realizes you are doing it - so work out for a minimum of 20 minutes - anything beyond that is really burning calories !
