Think. Satan didn't have to see some one else act that way in order for him to become that way. He was jealous of God. He wanted the worship to be given all to him.
If you take a mother of a small child and place a different child in her arms, nine times out of ten, that mothers own child is going to become very jealous.
God makes no mistakes, he gives all freewill. He doesn't want robots serving him. He wants genuine love and devotion.
Satan too had a mind of his own and he let his pride and jealousy ruin his relationship with God.

God didn't make a mistake, He gave humans and angels freewill. Ezekiel 28 describes Satan as an anointed cherub, so he was powerful, beautiful in appearance and was in a high position in the hierarchy of angels. Satan allowed his ego get out of hand. In Ezekiel 28;17 it describes Satan as having a "haughty heart" or an arrogance. He viewed mankind with disdain (you can see this by reading the first chapter of Job) and all this "attitude" lead to his sinning against God. Now if you go to James 1:13-15, you can see that it says that we are each tempted by our own desires. So Satan learned by doing, no one else taught him. He had no one else tempting him or influencing him, he has no one to blame but himself.

As I understand the process, God created us with free will. That would include all created beings...therefore you or Lucifer don't need anything to be tempted by to choose "wrongly".
Since not everyone believes in all the things Christians teach, and even Christians disagree on many of the philosophical questions (and you are having questions), why not look at other religions and see how they would answer these questions. All religions contain "Real Truths" (as well as real fanatics!) and it's up to the individual to find their best path. Keep thinking!

Satan manifested wrongful desires which it's fruitage became sin. He was not cast out of heaven immediately because in the book of Job at the beginning he joined the angels that were stationed with God in heaven. But since 1914 he has been cast to the vincinity of the earth as described in Revelation and is angry because he knows his time is short.

Oh but it's part of his "plan"
as in "Uh... good point, well... God must have done that on purpose"
Worst defense ever. In the original Jewish scriptures (like in the gnostic books) The Satan is not an outcast but a loyal servant of god whose job is to tempt man. He is the Satan (adversary) of Man, not of God.

God created evil but Satan wasn't always evil until the sin of pride entered in. God is still Omnipotent. God is not an author of confusion. His plans should not be judged but only those who sin against him and knowingly commit sinful acts daily.

Lucifer was the Best of the Best...almost perfection. He became jealous of humankind and became filled with Pride....filled with himself.
He had a superior intellect and freewill. He used them wrong and tried to take God's place. The Archangel Michael stepped in. Michael's name translates to "Who is like God?"... meaning, you're not.
The only "mistake" God has made with Angels and Men is to give us the gift of intellect and freewill. God does not make the mistakes or create and act out the evil. We do
P.S. Addition: To answer your question....again.....that you can't seem to get over ranting long enough for it to soak in. Its called Superior Intellect. Angels are created with an intellect so superior it makes our most educated rocket scientist look like 1st graders. And Lucifer was the crown jewel at his creation. Like a child simply figuring out on their own they wanted something they did not have...so it was with Lucifer.
