The "chances" are what you make of them. How about thinking of marriage in terms of "family" and "forever" and "unconditional love" instead of thinking of what might happen that you could blame on outside circumstances.

The reason 50%+ of marriages end in divorce is not because divorce just happens to half, but because half get married with the idea divorce is an acceptable way out, when 7 times out of 10 it isn't.

If you love that woman, then _love_ her. Don't stop with the feeling, and if the feeling stops, the love can go on.

It all depends on how much you life each other! My aunt married a man from france 5 years ago and they have been together and happy since then (BTW, WE LIVE IN THE USA)
