Are they good with kids? Do they get the small dog snippy attitiude as some small breeds do? How much grooming did you have to do, every week?
Thanks everyone!

Also, do you think they have better temperments then a toy poodle?

The Bichon is a great family dog. When raised and trained properly it is unaggressive toward people and other animals. It is playful in nature and truly a joy to have around. It can be a handful to groom, depending on how long you allow the coat to grow. I keep mine cut close to the body and a little fuller in the face and that cuts back on time spent grooming. Good luck!

Bichon Frises are reknowned for their intelligence and ease-of-training, so if you would like a dog that would be easy to train get it!

I also read that it has a great temperament and thus i presume that it is good with kids.

And yes, the has to be grooming done to it as it as a thick, curly, powderpuff-like coat.

they do require grooming every week and daily brushings.....they are pretty good with kids, but as you know all dogs are different.....oh sometimes the poop gets caught in there hair.....a little too much maintenance for me.....go with a Jack Russel terrier they like to play alot and require hardly any grooming

They are great dogs, but you must be committed to grooming them. They are very loving, social dogs. Another plsu is that they are far less hyper then terriers.
