Latin is the basis for many languages (including French); in addition, if you plan to get into any of the biological sciences, including medicine, Latin makes understanding nomenclature and other terminology much easier. It will make learning French easier as well.

french easy start to learning another language latin however would take a tad bit more time to develop but if you want to be challenged take latin

Latin if you ever plan to attend Graduate School after college. It will help with your GRE's.
Study French if you planning on doing much travel in Canada, France etc.

french because it is usable in real life eventually. latin is a dead language, meaning it is no longer spoken. if u plan on going on jeopardy or who wants to be a millionare, then take latin. also, if u are in high school, french may give u exemption from college foreign language.

french .. is more practical. maybe some day you'll go to Paris .. who needs Latin anyhow ? it's difficult and awful trust me ...
only if you're interested in becoming a lawyer or an archaeologist i recommend you study Latin but if not take the french one.
