Gout is a disease where there is accumilation of uric acid in the blood. It is caused by factors which either increase the formation of purines or increase the breakdown of the body cells as cancer(increase the release of purines from the cells of the body). In all cases the level of purines increase which are metabolised to uric acid.
Purines are nitrogenous bases that enter the structure of DNA and RNA that lies inisde the cell nucleus and cytoplasm. They are prsent in any cellular organisims. Thus eating foods having large number of cells will have large amounts of purines as fish.
Thus you have to avoid cellular foods and eat eggs(one nucleus only) and also milk(cointains no nuclei). You should also avoid alchol and being exposed to cold air currents which also cause gouty attacks.
