"jesus died for you, how can you not care?" and "we care about human life, down with abortion!" when:
1. I don't believe jesus ever existed and
2. You're against abortion for "human life"? It doesn't seem like you care about "human life" when muslim civilians are being slaughtered or people in 3rd world countries die of poverty.

Don: Thanks for the one sided argument. It made me smile.
You forgot to mention how christians should want to stop violence because the bible is against it and send our money to the less fortunate.. Oh, forgot, christians are hypocrites.
If the bible is real, you and everyone like you will burn in hell.

Because they're inherently hypocritical?
I mean if any of them actually believed the bible they'd be giving the shirts off their backs, and donating all of their income to fight AIDS in Africa. They certainly wouldn't be sitting around on their computers in YA! when they could be out actually physically helping people.

I would like to give you my thoughts on this question. However, I'm not sure how old you are and how much you have learned or may have experienced in life. With that, I say to you, God is very real! I promise you that you will realize this more and more as you go through life. You may not believe that Jesus existed, but thousands of other people saw Him and heard him speak. Many witnessed His death and some His ressurection. This is well documented. There has been, and there still is historical artifacts being found to prove a lot of things that have been talked about in the Bible. Check the Internet for findings, especially a recent finding of Noah's Ark. You will be surprised. Also, I highly recommend, even if you don't Believe, that you look throughout the Bible. I t is also a very informative book to use for Historical facts and guidlines to live a productive life. God bless

We care more about human life than the world ever will. How many relief efforts do atheist organizations perform per year verses Christians? (About none)
And are we in control of the government? Last I checked the church was not allowed to run the state. So we have no control over foreign policy, that is a question of the executive branch. And so you know they approve of aid all the time even to countries that dont believe as we do.

Anyone can use religious beliefs to justify any emotional attitude. All major world-wide religions, including Christianity's forms, including Islam's forms, are sufficiently complex and contradictory to allow for any believer to use select portions of the overall belief system to justify any common action. Christians kill, but decry killing. They have been this way throughout their history. The same applies to Muslims. And to Buddhists and Jews, but perhaps without quite so much devastation as Christians and Muslims.
Religions are a part of cultures. When cultures clash and struggle for supremacy, as is happening now between America and sections of the Middle East, then religion will be used as a logic system for justification. Politics, economics, sociology, religion ... all are systems that support whatever emotional attitude the user initially has.

Testimony made by a Christian:
I love God, Lord Jesus Christ( He and the Father are one), The Holy Bible and the Church of Christ and they love me. Jesus died for our sins on the cross some 2000 years ago. Have you forgotten? God, the Creator of us creatures, continues to love us in spite of all our sins. Isn't it marvelous? The Word of God is written by over 40 writers over a period of over 1500 years. Yet, its miraculous unity is obvious. It goes without saying that although the Bible has many writers, it has but one Author- God Himself.
I am against abortion. Of all the necessities parents should give to the child, the right to live is the most basic. Sex is for marriage and to reproduce. Since the parents do want babies, why have sex in the first place? I know that in many cases, the parents turn to abortion because they are not married etc.In other words, they committed fornication. I will never commit it myself, or adultery., which is just as immoral.
Are you enlightened? Read the Bible, talk to God in prayer, admire God's Creation, be baptized.
May my answer bless you. Hallelujah!

Well, as to your number 1 issue, that's between you and God. We have an obligation to tell you about what He did for you. It's up to you about whether to act on that information or not.
As to your number 2 issue, I must tell you how incredibly misinformed you are. We do care about Muslim civilians. In fact, there are numerous Christian missionary organizations that reach out to Muslims and others in impoverished countries. Just to name a few, there is Compassion International, World Vision, Samaritan's Purse, and Christian Children's Fund.
Do you remember Heather Mercer and Dayna Curry? They were relief workers in Afghanistan prior to the war, and had been captured by the Taliban. So don't go telling me that Christians don't care. What have YOU done for them?

Jesus did die for us and we do care that's why several christian missionary groups are over there helping and christians here praying for them and our US soldiers.....The battle in the Middle East has been going on since before christ....and will continue until the return of christ. Not even Bill Clinton can stop the war..yes there will be a false peace for 7 years ..but in the mean time all of the fighting over there is biblical prophicies coming to past before our very eyes. God Bless and have a good night.

Christians tell you this so that you will not be close minded about Christianity. Christians care about human life that's why they tell you,a human, that they care you and the paths that you have set for yourself is destructive and they would like for you to take the more excellent way and that's eternal life with CHRIST. A person dies every 3minutes regardless where ever they are. Christians missionaries are amongst muslims in their countries being slaughtered also because of their beliefs and servitude to them. Christians missionaries are amongst the 3rd world countries feeding those who are hungry. What is ur excuse?

1. Even if you don't believe he was the Son of God, you must believe that he existed, meaning he was actually a person. Not a single person would question that.
2. Of course we care about death of people from poverty and violence. and a good Christian would do things to stop these things.

Someone criticizes you for saying Jesus never existed and quotes Josephus to disprove what you said. It would be much more convincing if Seutonius, not Josephus, wrote about Jesus. It is only Jews who mention Jesus at all. One can hardly expect them to be objective. We can say with much more certainty that Julius Caesar, Charlemagne, Alexander the Great, etc. lived than Jesus...because they are mentioned in many peoples' histories. My maternal grandfather was a preacher, and he had the writings of Philo and Josephus. I find many fanciful things in them, so one cannot use them to prove Jesus' existence for certain.

And so you were there when the foundations of the earth were laid!
It is a shame when terrorists hold civilians hostage hoping they will be killed!
I is a shame also that we do not take an interest where ever inhumanity to man occurs.
But our government, (to many libs) take no interest in such things even when our people are killed!
Once the liberals are gone this will be a better country!
