I am a Canadian with light brown hair, green eyes, and white skin who is attending a university in the United States. If I were a Mexican could I be doing this right now or would I not be allowed because of the fear that I might stay and work here?

sure I'm a decedent of an African slave. One of the oldest groups of people to be brought to America.
My people have been here over 400 years longer than all but a few.
We have struggled here with hardship and pain that probably only the Native peoples can attest to.
If we can do it and survive anyone can...
America is about overcoming the struggle.
And while there is still a substantial amount of racism and ignorance in this country (as often proved by this forum).
If you educate yourself and learn to ignore most of the inane and trifling aspects of this society you can do well.
Your kids will likely end up fat overweight consumers. But, what the hey they will have social and mental crutches on which to rely and become bigots themselves.
Come on in the waters fine!

As long as you the Canadian, and you the Mexican have the proper papers to allow you to stay here and study, then it's ok.
If you the Canadian don't have the papers, then you better get outside and cut my lawn.

Yes. In fact, you could probably have the state pay your tuition for you. But as a Canadian, don't try doing this in Mexico. They have immigration laws there, which they enforce..

Good question.It's really hard to get any type of visa if you are from Mexico. That's why they all are forced to jump thru the border.

If you filed a petition to get here legally, you would be most welcome to stay, I think I speak for many Americans who are ok with immigration, when it is legal!
