since you used black you either have to wait for it to grow out or go by a color remover kit they are not that expensive. then wait a week and use a hair bleach. not house hold bleach that will fry your hair. i have dark hair and in order for me to go blond i have to bleach it twice and dye it the lightest ash blond color i can find. use ash to cover up the red tones. ive been doing my own hair and all my friends hair for over 25 years and ive been every color in the book lol

I am a natural brunette and have also dyed my hair almost every color imaginable, including black. And I must say that while I really liked the black hair color, I am never dying it black again.
Is your hair dye store bought from a box (such as Clairol or L'Oreal) or was in done in a salon? This makes a big difference. First of all box hair dye is bad bad bad for your hair. And is much harder to get out. Even so black hair dye DOES NOT COME OUT! I have several friends in the beauty industry in addition to personal experience on this one. Yes, hair dye fades, but black hair dye is very slow to fade and will only turn orange or worse if you try to dye over it any other color or remove it. And I'm betting you do not want orange hair. Not only that, but redying it, bleaching it or removing hair color will ruin your hair. It'll look fried.
In my experience, the best thing to do is wait for it to grow out, then cut off the black hair. It probably won't look pretty while it grows out, but it's the only way to be able to dye your hair blonde the way you want.
While it can be expensive, you could try going to a salon for a consultation. They will be able to give you the best advice. If money is a problem, look on the Internet or in the yellow pages for a student salon. They will use salon quality products on your hair, and will do a competent job for a fraction of the price.

This is exactly what would happen once you apply the bleach you have to let it sit on your hair and while it is just sitting there it is geeting much worse. If your hair is black it will change to a color they will wash it out and do it again and again until you get the color that you want, so let's just say while the bleach was on there the first time you killed your hair and then shot it and then stabbed it and then you burred your hair and put it away to never be the same again. Because while the bleach was on there the first time your hair became very soft like that of a baby and then the life was tooken out of the hair until they put some color on it and brought it back to life again. I hope that I have helped you.

I did the same thing that you are doing. I dyed my hair black and then decided to be blond, well I used the over the counter stuff to get the black dye out, which didnt work as well as it should have. After I used it my hair was black, brown, and red. Yeah it sucks. So I went to a pro, they got my hair back brown and then we went to bleach it blond, bad very bad mistake. They knew what they were doing but their main goal is to give you what you want, and she didnt tell me what would happen to my hair. After I had it done, my hair was brittle and coarse. It has taken 2 years for my hair to get back to "normal". If I was you, I wouldnt bleach anything, maybe dye it blond, or put alot of blond highlights in it.

well, regular bleach will dissolve your hair lol, but I hope you mean the hair bleaching kits you buy at the store. It is best to leave your hair the way it is for a while before you process it again. If you bleach it, with your hair dyed dark already, it will just make it an unnatural brownish orange color and completely fry your hair. It would do a lot of damage and you'd end up just having to cut a big hunk of the ends off your hair for it to look healthy again. Maybe just try to find a way to live with it for a while, but if you do decide to do anything to it, please see a hairstylist and let them tell you about it and LET THEM DO IT! At least that way there are better chances of it not looking like crap afterwards!

Bleaching isn't the best option. It strips your hair of color and then new color is added. Some salons make you sign a release form before you do it, because they don't want you to sue for damaged hair. Well, I've done it, and my hair felt like straw for an eternity. I don't recommend it, but even though people told me what I am telling you, I did it anyway, and learned my lesson. :)

I also have naturally brown hair, and I died my hair black several years ago. It was supposed to wash out after a while, but never did, so I went to my hairdresser for help. He bleached out all the black, and it did not turn funny colors or fry my hair. My hair was not super healthy, but that had just as much to do with all the previous dye jobs as it did with the final bleaching. After the bleaching, my hairdresser died my hair red for me, and it looked fabulous. A good hairdresser can fix your problem without mutilating your hair, but be prepared to pay for it.

bleaching isnt the best option, especially if the hair isnt fully at its natural colour at the moment. i would wait for it to turn brown again. and by the way if you bleach the hair if it is black then it will just turn red. trust me i know coz of some experiance.

Go to a saloon to bleach it and after that do treatment for ur hair and use a hair serum often. if not you will have a lot of spilt ends after your whole hair turned blonde :) you won't want your hair to turn like grass texture xD
