I got the tips of my hair dyed today and my stylist said no washing. I assumed that meant no shampoo, and that I could get it wet. My stylist also put product in my hair that I didn't like, so I wanted it out. Well when I was in the shower, I noticed that the water was colored the same as my hair. Was I not supposed to get my hair wet at all? Or is it normal for the color to "leak" a little bit?

The dye was semi-perminant, and the product was just a stying product

color is going to fade every time you wash your hair...but usually the first couple of times you wet or wash it...you will get color in the water. Don't worry it'll be ok. I don't know why she told you not to wash it. Did she use a temporary color? If she did...it will wash out in about a week or two. If she didn't then it will only fade. I hope this helps.

It is usually normal for some more color to come out for 3 to 4 shampoos after coloring your hair. To best way to tell is to look at the ends when they are dry. Does it look like it has faded?
Hair dye is not the same as a perm (if you wash after a perm the curls definately go away) so it should be okay to just get it wet without losing your new color.

well you supose not washed and not washed because is better if you keep it more days otherwise the color runs more quickly if you want to have a good dye and an even one is better is you dont wet or shampoo it for at least 4 days otherwise the products that they are soo expensive is gonna be for nothing is better to keep it in the hair for longer results.

The color that came out of your hair is normal. Your stylist didn't want you to wash or rinse your hair to let the cuticle of you hair seal. It helps your color stay in longer.

the color will come out for 1 to 3 shampoos...and if you used a dye that is so simi permanent that it will wash out in one shampoo i hope you didnt pay more than 5 dollars for it....it will fade faster with shampoo....but you are going to eventually have to wash your hair right?...what kind of dye is it?
