My food tastes haven't changed since I was a kid, and despite being an adult now, I would chooses a bcxaon cheeseburger over a steak or chicken anyday. When I eat out and the person I'm with is choosing a restaurant, I'm checking the menu to see if you can get a bacon cheeseburger. Is this wrong? I can't seem to get my tastebuds to mature.

To answer your question it is not un-adultlike. At the end of the day you know what you like, and far too many people spend time trying to fit in and not doing what they want to do.

Bacon Cheeseburger and chips is not the healthiest meal as it had quite alot of fat in so my only concern would be that you are getting a balanced diet the rest of the time.
Assuming you ate this once or twice a week though, and assuming you are a healthy weight, there is no problem.

Carry on enjoying yourself and eat what you want. And I agree sometimes a bacon cheeseburger really hits the spot!

There's nothing wrong with a bacon cheeseburger. I love those too, but I don't eat them every single place I go.

If you want your tastebuds to expand, try eating other things. If you're at a Chinese or Mexican restaurant for example, order something that is not in the American menu section. You may be surprised and like it.

Funny. I had the very same issue. A while ago we had a company party and the boss took us all to lunch at this NICE restuarant downtown. I was sad because there was no bacon cheeseburger. I still love them, but I dont eat them all the time... you just cant so that. But it will stay your favorite if you continue to eat them often. If you go places that dont have it, you will slowly lose the desire to ALWAYS have one. Thats what happened to me. Make it a rare treat.

As far as I can tell, there's no such thing as "mature taste". If you want a double bacon cheeseburger with chips, get it. You can't help what you like. Some people who like "more mature foods" just say you're taste is immature because they wanted what you got, but they were posers and didn't want other people to think that they had immature taste.

No it is just ordering what you like to eat.
There is a time and place for everything,--including meals. If your dressed casually you can order anything, but if your dressed formally I suggest you order something a bit more formal.
The "Un-adult" thing would be to teach you kids that they will have to outgrow bacon-cheeseburgers

I don't think it's unadult like or immature to eat bacon cheeseburgers if that is what you like. However, how do you expect to get your taste buds to mature if you don't expose them to new tastes? Start with something small then slowly expand your horizons. I find this sad, you'll never know what your missing, your life will be safe. Is that what you want?

You are just a natural born consumer. McDonald's hopes that you continue supporting them until you keel over from 300 pounds of extra fat caused by eating 1000 calorie bacon cheeseburgers all the time.

Heck with mature taste buds lol. You like what you like... (i can still eat cheese raviolies cold from a can). But if I were you I would try to make myself learn to like some healthier foods and just cut back on your big ole burger because we don't want you having bypass surgery or worse...

Far more mature than eating something you don't like to hide your preference for comfort food.
Look at all the sit down restaurants that have gourmet burgers. When I was stationed in Germany I couldn't wait to come home and have a Hugo's 'Blue moon burger'.

No, have some self control for God's sake. Once in a while is great but not everytime you go out to eat.

Not the same thing Robyn. Comfort food will earn you an early grave if its all you want.
