You can do whatever you want. When all is said and done, no one really cares about this crap. Its only a title. I think if you are having trouble deciding between two people you should have two because you wouldn't want to ruin any friendships or relationships. Its really the thought that counts. People like to know that they are special.

Tradition says that you should only have one...but who's to say you can't start/continue new traditions.
If you have two women whom you feel should stand up for you as matrons of honor. Go ahead!
After all, it is your wedding day. What a better way to celebrate than being surrounded by those you love? :)

No you should only have one Maid of Honour. A Maid of Honour is unmarried, a Matron of Honour is a married woman - but there is only one position - whichever marital status your attendant is, there should only be one. You can then have as many bridesmaids as you wish....

Yes you can. It's your wedding, you can do whatever you want.
Remember, you will have to pick one as the "first" and the other as a "second" unless they walk down the isle together and stand side by side during the ceremony. There are other duties and situations where you will have to pick one over the other too, like who sits next to you at the reception because your husband will be on your other side.

I was supposedly a 'dual' maid of honor with another girl. You can do it if you want.

Hun, technically there's only supposed to be one. She's supposed to be your closest friend in the world, but it's your special day. If you want to have two, then go ahead and defy convention.
