I put up wallpaper border up in my twin 2 year old boys' room and one of them keeps peeling it off of the wall. Is there any thing i can do to make it harder for him to pick it off?

OMG!! I have boy/girl twin who are now five. They did the exact same thing! The only thing I found I could do was take down the wall paper border and paint. A great idea - if you have the patience and help - would be to paint the walls and tape off where the old border was and dipp their little hands in the paint and make a border using their handprints. A great place to find new ideas for kids rooms is to look at HGTV site and browse through. Have fun with it. It seems no matter what you do, the little rugrats seem to love the feeling of peeling things. I feel for you.

By all means, take the border off of the wall ! Let the kid help you. Then you can paint a nice porder. Wallpaper is a pain in the butt in many ways; and eating it, isn't the greatest thing in the world either.

I'm afraid you will need to peel it off and paint. But hey, use this as a time to spend some quality time with your boys. Tape off the walls widely with carpenter's tape. Put plastic on the floor and let the little ones help you select colors and paint the border with their choice of colors. Dabs of different colors would look nice.

After, they will appreciate the border a lot more and take better care of it;)
And you all will have this happy memory.

Very undesirable thought. The wallpaper can mold with ease, extraordinarily in case you reside in a damp climate. i could definately eliminate the wallpaper in the previous you paint. it would appear like rather some artwork now, even though it is going to furnish help to avert a sticky mess later.

One of my kids did that too! UGH...I had just finished the room too.

I ended up taking down the wallpaper. I tried to reglue but that didn't help....just started picking at another spot.

Frustrating after all that work, but better than the kids trying to eat the wallpaper or something.

Instead of having the border placed at their level, consider replacing the border at a much higher level on the wall, so it is out of their reach (such as at the top of the wall near the ceiling).

Afraid not, suggest you paint instead. I admit I was one of those kids who peeled my wallpaper and there was a big spot by my bed that was not wall papered. My mom showed me- she just left it that way for years!

Put trimming on the bottom if there isn't already. You could also put a thin layer of caulk along the sides and bottoms. I don't know if that would be dangerous for the health of your kids though.

you can Poly urethane, it will cover the wallpaper, only problem is when you're ready to remove it, you're going to have a hard time doing so.
