I wouldn't think so - they need different things. Yea they are totally different - kittens are milk, eggs and some salt and something else and puppies have tons of nutrients that the kittens don't need and that may be bad for them. Your neighbor is probably being cheap and just giving them the other one. Mean neighbor!

Normally I would say no, but I have recently been given a baby goat to raise and got some milk replacement at a local co-op. Then I found 8 kittens abandoned, and the milk replacement that I have for the baby goat can be used for kittens, puppies, goats, and calves

No. They are not. Puppy supplement has the nutrients that pups need; kitten supplement the stuff kittens need.

Each formula is designed for the animal intended to digest it. It won't let them starve but can cause stomach upsets. Kitten formula is also more $$ I just got a kitten on to cereal and it took a while to get to that point.

There are subtle differences, but in a pinch I have used kitten milk for dogs and vise versa. WITH NO ADVERSE EFFECTS.
I also like Goat milk with a bit of Karo syrup added, it seems to be well liked by both kittens and puppies, and it is easy for little tummies to digest.

It's different. I lived with a dog that ate all the cats food, but it probably wasn't hurting him. The cats just had to eat their food before the dog got to it.
