My daughter was born with brown hair and brown eyes, when she was around 3 months her eyes changed to blue and her hair changed to a light blonde. It's completely normal most babies do this.

Why Do a Baby's Eyes Change Color?
When a baby is first born, the eye still has not fully developed a dark pigment known as melanin that helps “color” eyes and skin. Blue or gray eyes (which many Caucasian babies have at birth) in a newborn mean that melanin is virtually absent within the eye’s colored portion (iris).
When your baby is about six months old, you’ll have a better idea of eye color as pigmentation begins to form and brown or darker eyes might appear. The baby’s eye color should be determined by about age one, although some individuals may experience eye color changes through adulthood.
People of Asian, African-American, Hispanic, or native American descent often have babies who are brown-eyed at birth because of darker pigmentation (melanin).
Varying amounts of melanin or pigmentation also can create different shades of green, gray, or hazel eyes.
Here is another one....from the second site listed.
: When and why does a newborn’s eye color change? —Mamabaehr, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
A: Babies’ eyes change from blue to their natural color by age three. Exposure to light after birth triggers the production of melanin in the stroma. In three years, the eyes produce and store enough brown pigment to take on their natural shade.
Before that, a baby’s eyes lack melanin in the stroma—much like blue-eyed people. Special stroma cells (called melanocytes) make melanin as the baby ages. We think that the amount and the distribution of melanin stored in these cells account for iris color.
There are so many sites on the net about eye color...I just googled it and these are three I came up with. Seems that eye clolor can change throughout our lives...not just when we are babies. Sure is different than what I learned in 7th grade biology! Hope some of the information can help you answer you question! Best of luck!

I haven't heard of them going from dark to blue - mostly babies are born with blue eyes for some reason then after awhile they turn color. Mine were blue until i was two and then one day turned brown - my poor mother - she thought something was really wrong and rushed me to the ER. HA ... good luck!
Anyway - here is a link to yahoo with a search on changing eye color in babies.

I know that if they are blue at birth, they could change and become brown, but I don't think it works the other way around.

no, if a baby is born with brown eyes they will stay brown.
If a baby is born with blue eyes or grayish eyes they may stay that way or change later on to green or brown.

No. Geneticially speaking it is IMPOSSIBLE. Brown can never change to blue just like a blue eyed person can't make a brown eyed baby.
