HD, you won't be wasting a ton of money on mini dvd's or dvd's and you can fix up the movie by connecting the camcorder to the computer, and you can do a million great things with it.
aside from that, it heats up less, takes up less battery power, AND you don't have to worry about the laser getting messed up, HD's don't have lasers!!!!!!

HD type Camcorders is a great idea. Unfortunately they are not mainstream yet. And you have to pay a premium for them.
Also remember that with miniDV, and DVD you can always get a new player and play your movies, with HD based system if the HD goes bad you are out of luck. (Have you ever had an IPOD go bad, same story here)
I would go for DVD type right now. If you can wait 6 month, you will have a lot more options with HD Camcorders.

HD for sure. With the Mini DV, the tapes only last a few years. With the DVD, after recording, you have to stay pretty still while the DVD 'initializes', so you're most likely to miss a lot of action.
With the HD, it's much easier and cheaper in the long run.

It depends on what do yo want to do. You know, MiniDVs & DVDs are the same quality and you can recorde the same time on them too. But HD cameras are new and their technology are growing up. This cameras are expensive now, besides if you recorde in HD quality, how do you want to play it with its best quality? You have to buy a HD TV too. So don't waist your money for HD camcorders. Choose between MiniDV and DVD that i think DVDs are most relaible todays.

depends on what you need. if you want to watch without editing, and are not too concerned about the best quality and dont want to burn to a disk to watch, choose dvd.
if you want the highest quality, and want to edit, or arent too concerned about editing, minidv is for you.
if you mean HD as in hard disk, these are best if youre too cheap to buy media to record your stuff on. no but seriously, your better off getting minidv or dvd because its lower quality than minidv, but you still have to transfer to your computer and burn to disk to watch, unless you want to connect your camcorder to your tv every time you watch.
if you mean HD as in hi-def, first make sure you have a HD ready tv set. also, make sure your computer has enough power to edit and/or burn, because this will be recorded to minidv tapes, and HD video will eat up your hard disk space like star jones eating a box of twinkies. and remember, even though its hi-def, it still has Mpeg-2 compression (about as good as dvd), so unless you shrink down to SD size, watching it on your big screen tv wont necessarily ensure you best of quality. but its a start to what we'll see in the future of HD.
so there you have it. now all you have to do is choose one. easy no? anyways go to www.camcorderinfo.com to search for the right camcorder for you. hope this helps!

question a million specific HDD (harddrive) cameras used exceptionally compressed video question 2 specific question3 Sony, Canon, variety that relies upon on what valuable aspects you're searching for. i like the two Canon and Sony yet thats my decision, some like JVC (dont understand why) and Panasonic, Samsung too call yet some question 4 while you're caught for area use a working laptop or computing device, if no longer then a private computing device, Mac's are very solid, a sprint constrained for application, yet lots of the enormous agencies produce application for the two. aspects for computing device's are extra low priced. solid luck RR
