that can go either way. If you really like this person, you may want to believe them without knowing what they have actually done. Now there have been several times that I have gotten very drunk, but I could still remember some stuff. The only times I couldn't remember was when I took some pills with drinking.

sure. A violation of trust is a conscious decision. Impairment such as alchol inhibits ability to make good decisions, impairment to the point where you cant remember anything is an extreme impairment and shouldn't affect long term trust. The violation of trust in this instance is that they showed judgement so poor that they used an outside agent to bring about the erroneous situtation that led to the memory loss and possible infidelity. in a nut shell

Depends on the person. I do not think it is right, but if they went out to get drunk and were looking then, no. If they were just looking to get drunk, but ended up there, then you really need to talk to the person and see why they were drinking so much in the first place. It is possible to trust again, but it takes time. hth

Getting drunk in and of itself would be a violation of trust if it's used as an excuse. You can't trust a drunk not to drink again, now can you?

No. Haven't you been drunk before ? I have. There were parts of the night I couldn't remember, conversations I had that I dont remember, but not the whole night. And if they woke up naked is what your saying, I definitely wouldn't believe it. But that's just me.

If someone gets so drunk they don't remember anything the next day, I wouldn't rely on them for anything important until they cut down on drinking

It would depend if they were a trustworthy person or not. I mean everyone makes mistakes, but if this is a common thing that happened to that person then no I probably wouldn't.

no - how do you know it wont happen again? and how do you know what else that person might do when they're drunk? if that person is seriously sorry, they will stop drinking bcuz obviously they cant control themselves when they do-
