often times they do. I believe that God gve us emotions, they are not a bad thing but they are not to be what rules our lives. Emoptions are unstable. Often if I am feeling angry, my need for the situation to be rectified makes it difficult for me to pray or let things go and be at peace in the presece of God. Sadness draws me to His throne where I can find peace and joy. Sometimes when things are going to well, and I am feeling overly confident , I have to remember not to take Him for granted and continue to seek him for direction and discernment. It is very difficult not to let what I am feeling dictate my actions and attitudes towards things but I know that my emotions change and are unstable, God never changes- He is always steady, stable and dependable.

No... It's simply my fallen nature responding that often gets me into trouble... If only, when we got saved, there would be a total immediate death of the old nature that is in rebellion to God, but that does not happen. And so, we struggle within ourselves to fight the good fight and while doing that, we worship God and love everybody as we love ourselves... And, oh yes, we still fall short of the glory of God... It's more than mere emotions hindering our walk... Oh, and there's additional temptations to deal with also...

That's a good question, I had to think about it. At first I thought yes, sometimes they might. But I think in the end, it makes me stronger. I had a situation awhile back where I was broken-hearted about a relationship I thought was going somewhere, and I really believed was God's Will. Turned out I was wrong. I did a lot of questioning during that time, but I have come out of it with my Faith stronger than ever, and a better understanding of what God wants for my life.

Emotions are considered reactions to the societal conditions associated with feeling a certain way at any given moment. We have a feeling, which creates a thought which creates an emotion, which creates a behaviour, which has a consequence according to our cultural identity or social status.

I can't see how this process relates to Christianity. Care to be more specific????

At times. Anger, resentment, temptation, greed. I try not to give into these feelings and sometimes I feel as if God is not there at all, and it's nothing more than a theory. How can my God be different than Allah? But then I try to remember what I have experienced through my walk with Christ thus far, and eventually I get past it.

Yes. I admit I feel immensely angry at times. I wish I didn't, and I feel bad for it. But there is so much negativity. It's becoming increasingly harder to maintain faith nowadays. When everything seems like it has no reason to it.
