Tomorrow is church and I really like the wine and crackers they serve at communion. I think they are serving like a California Cabernet Sauvignon and some light crisp crackers. Too bad they don't serve cheese.

I've never done it before but do you think it would be acceptable to ask for seconds?

Dear sweet precious Donna, Bring the cheese with you. You can have a nibble when no one is looking. And yes, feel free to ask for more wine. I think a Pinot Noir would go better with the light crackers (keep it all light, even the cheese). Bless your beautiful soul and avatar.

In the Catholic religion you must fast an hour before accepting communion. If you're like me and only wake up with only enough time to get ready for church and leave, it's alright to ask for seconds because you're starving. There was no time to eat breakfast.

you're able to go decrease back to the ritual which preceded communion to comprehend what became being executed. contained in the passover ritual, there have been 3 slices of unleavened bread that the host of the meal might take, wrap, and stack. Then the midsection piece became bumped off, broken, and area of it eaten. something hidden away. every physique who stumbled on the hidden bread became granted a "reward" by the host. while Jesus took the bread, he defined to his disciples that the loaf of bread that he became breaking and giving to them represented himself and his coming loss of existence on the go. He might then be hidden away contained in the tomb, and resurrected so as that any who stumbled on him ought to get carry of a reward. The "eating" is common a logo of receiving his action into yourselves. comparable with the wine, which contained in the Passover became inebriated at the two the initiating and the top of the meal. It became additionally a logo of the blood of Christ which would be spilled. by eating the wine, we back have a logo of the accepting the sacrifice of Christ into our very own lives. Has no longer something to do with cannibalism as given by Jesus. a particular Christian team has taken the ritual and adjusted it claiming that it is the eating of the actual physique and blood of Christ. yet that isn't taught contained in the scriptures. somewhat Jesus became exhibiting that the bread and wine that have been eaten for over 1500 years by the Jews became a logo of his coming sacrifice.

I heard of a church that serves the wine in one of those beer helmets with the hose.

Sounds like fun.

You could always take your own Philly cream cheese. Maybe that angel in the TV ads could send some your way.

It should be. Stand in line twice, once with a hat and once without. Bring your own cheese and enjoy.

I agree. Do you know of any supermarkets that sell those wafers? I have always thought they were light and scrumptious.

NOOOOOOOOOOOo!
Communion is not for people who are to lazy to make a meal for them selves and need food. It is a gift from Jesus to his deciples so that we can remember that he died for us and saved our sins on the cross.
