What is brave about you, Nazis? Brave to be fat and hate everyone who -like you ancestors -wants to live here?
And don't tell me the "oh, they did it legally" crap. Legal or illegal was the same thing well into 20th century. They got a FREE PASS, is that where "land of the free " comes from?

Wolfman, haven't met a Native American. Most of them were exterminated by the illegal invaders oops your ancestors...

GrimReaper, unless you marry for papers YOU CANNOT obtain resident status and apply for citizenship. It doesn't take years anymore, there is simply no such option. It's not the 60s anymore! read your Nazi laws! How can immigrants ot hate this country when we are treated like slaves?!? I've been working here for many years, paying taxes and so far 0 chance for me to be legal. Sorry, but this is NOT the land of the free. It was when your ancestors got here and got legal right away. Then they made it impossible to become legal. How nice! If I could be legal, I would have been.

you are right.. all immigrants want is a better life...
Otherwise we wouldn't have all these Germans, italians, english, irish, mexican, canadian, chinese, japanese, iranian, etc....
You are right, they shouldn't say,, "my ancestors immigrated here, LEGALLY".... There was no such thing as illegal immigration back then...
Even if some illegals are in jails, They don't and shouldn't represent the rest of the hard-working population...
I hate it when people are narrow minded and they just see the bad of everything

Basically the problem with your logic is that there are people who have followed the law, and come here and applied for citizenship. For many it takes many years. So you believe that they are stupid for having done that when they could have come illegally. That basically they should be punished for having done it the right way.
If you are not saying that, then you are saying there is a hierarchy of those who enter the country, if so, then those who came legally should clearly come before those who don't (regardless of whether you believe in amnesty or not).
The free pass you mentioned was given to them because they followed the rules. Do you have any idea how many wanted to come with our ancestors but coudln't because of the law? So, because the ones coming now pay a lot of money to a smuggler, they have more rights than those who waited in line.
Sorry, that doesn't make any sense in any civil society. Under your theory I should be able to take all your belongings and money because the law that says I shouldn't can just be ignored.
That's just not a society I want to live in. I want the people who need a better life coming here, I just want them to follow the laws and I don't see why that is too much to ask or why it makes me a nazi.
(and you might want to watch throwing that word around, it may not mean much to you, but knowing someone who lost their whole family at Dachau really makes it hit home).
EDIT - you know Bunt, I had stayed away from this section of answers for a while because of morons who don't know the facts. Last 4th of July I attended the swearing in of 3 friends who just gained their citizenship, one who took 5 years to do so another who took 7 and one that was able to get the paperwork to get it done in 3. SO, maybe you cannot BECAUSE you are illegal or maybe because there is something else in your background that won't allow it. But get your facts straight please!

a. No, Bunt, legal and illegal immigration was NOT the same thing. My ancestors- like many other people's- came through Ellis Island from Poland and Germany. I have their citizenship papers, various deeds, etc. stored in a safe in my attic. Those that came through Ellis Island had to meet strict requirements- and they came with a love of the country that was letting them in. If you read diaries of people who passed through Ellis Island, you'll read about people that came and kissed the ground the minute they set foot on American soil.
What separates the people I mentioned from illegals? Most illegals come and view America as a place to TAKE money, public aid, etc. but never have to GIVE anything back. Many will work a few menial jobs to support themselves, plop out a few illegitimate anchor babies, and then use their illegitimate bastards to collect public aid. Others will work menial jobs for cash and not pay taxes. And have you even SEEN crime rates? Take a look:
http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=49965
-You see- when people don't have to work for what they own- they respond like children. They want more and more of what is being given to them, and feel no need to take care of what they own. In this case, freedom and rights are what they are getting- the responsibility that comes with these things is what they neglect.
b. What makes us Nazis? Anti-illegals are Patriots! They want to protect their country.

You are free to have your opinion. I am free to refute it. There were legal ways to enter the country in the Early days, they were just more lax.
Examples:
1740- naturalization to the US (then, still British colonies) required 7 years residence, allegiance to the Crown, and evidence of Christianity; Catholics were excluded.
1790- naturalization was restricted to "free white persons"
1882- Chinese Exclusion Act. A 10 Year ban on Chinese Laborers. (extended in 1892. Laborers had to have a certificate of residence)
1940- Alien Registration Act made it illegal to advocate the overthrow of the US
Now, these are all silly laws, but it would've made a number of people legal, and a number of people illegal. There were no free passes.
And did you know, Spain and Portugal got Papal permission to colonize the New World. Why would they need permission if there were no rules?

Bunt, You lie when you say that you have never met a Native American, If thats so, allow me to introduce myself, I am a man of wealth and fame, I was there when Columbus had his moment of doubt and shame. I have been around for many a year, you might recall my name, I am RENEGADE. Do you refer to me as a Nazi? How many of YOUR ancestors went to war in foreign lands to defend a country that did not allow them citizenship until 1926? In W W 1, the French were amazed that America had Natives as warriors, yet they embraced them as well for liberating their country FROM Nazis! This is MY land! This is MY home! I am free due to the fact that Americans of all ethnic backgrounds cared enough to get off their "fat, lazy" asses and save the entire free world from communist oppression. Many of those "fat" Americans happened to be Native Americans. Are you disrespecting me? YOUR nation would not even exist if it werent for Americans!
I am also an American Veteran, who has defended the democratic freedoms of oppressed peoples around the world. That is what is "brave" about me. What have YOU done except snivel and whine about how you hate MY country? Your whiney *** isnt tied to the floor, your legs arent broken, YOU ARE "FREE "TO LEAVE! I see that there are many AMERICANS willing to give you financial as well as material assistance, FREE of any obligation. Thats Americans for you, always there, willing to lend a hand or a paddle, or a beer cooler, in times of need to the poor in spirit. Can you say "THANK YOU AMERICA." An attitude of gratitude is what you require "Lady".
RENEGADE.

"Land of the Free, home of the braved"
- The terminologies about land of the free came from a root word "free" where you are free to choose from and free to be within the social values of life but being free doesn'e mean that you will destroy the Rules and Regulations even the Law of Human Nature.
- Being a land of the free needs to be freed in as long as that you didn't destroy anything or even harmed anyone or didn't break any law.
- Freedom of speech, freedom of choosing the right jobs and the right place that anyone of us to have. Freedom of choosing the religion that we want to be with.
- Being free is also being braved because we fight for what we want to achieved.

What teary-eyed crap. Enforce the immigration laws, and end the sob stories. This is SOOOO bullshit. Get em out of our country, it's not america's job to support your entire country by whatever means you choose. Teach people to support themselves, and then get their government behind the idea of letting them do it. Presto, problem solved.

Bunt has again show itself to be slightly mis-named.
The use of the term Nazis and stereotypes show it to be a fool who merits no serious consideration.
It still fails to understand the difference between legal and illegal.

Umm...statistically speaking you are correct. But I know many blacks and they are the nicest I've met.
One thing I ask them is why you always know a black person is nearby because they are the ones speaking the loudest and laughing so loud as to want the attention. They only laughed in acknowledgement saying, "I guess they're happy to be alive".
