If you moved to Mexico would they be racist because they wouldn't learn English?!! NO
Why is it any different here? Why do Mexicans think that we are supposed to accommodate them in every way, upon the backs of the American tax payers, of course?

Well I think its common sense to try and learn the language when going to a new country, if not only to further your success in the new country.
However, learning a new language takes a lot of time and I don't think some people realize that. I've been speaking (on and off) Spanish for nearly my whole life and I'm still not fluent in it. I've been taking French in school for 5 years now and still not fluent in it. I think people need to be more understandable about it.
But to answer your question, no it is not racist, its practical.

i know who IS a racist.
its good 'ol BUNT who always scolds whites for being "racist" since we dont want illegals.
here's what bunt has to say about blacks:
bunt
Level 3
Blacks are most of the criminals in US, show statistics. And they are less than 20% of the population. They are on a very low level, still didn't evolve enough to think like a human beings. SOrry, but most blacks are the lowest of the low. The exceptions are rare.
***** in Spanish means black. Of course blacks have no education to speak another language. They don't speak their own and call eah other ****** anyway...
They want to shoot you because that's how they communicate-with violence. Remember: they are not as evolved as you to stay calm and talk with real words. Stay away from ******=blacks.

I am not racist and it really ticks me off whenever someone says just because I am a certain color or ethniticity I must have the blood of the genetics of that ethnicity. What is that supposed to mean?
I do think there are a lot of stupid people in this world. Education is the great emancipator. We need more patience and less ignorance.

Well would that person like going into a place and not being understood. Why should everyone else know their language?
I don't think it's racist. Other countries don't accommodate us when we're in theirs now do they?

Well, we're all prejudice in some way...... as for learning the language of your new country...... it just makes sense. How are you to survive if you can't properly communicate your needs? What do you do if you need help and can't get that conveyed?

No. To me it seems like common sense to be able to speak the language of where you live. I'd hate to have an emergency and not be able to tell anyone what is going on to get help.

To a certain extent all humans are. but asking someone who doesn't live in your country if they are to live or visit here that it would be nice if they learn english is not racist but common courtesy.
