Capitalism. We allow the exploitation of everything within limits. Illegal immigrants are no exception. If businesses were not prepared to exploit illegals then they could not get a job and so they would not come here. If we stopped the exploitation by closing down businesses which did it then the problem would be much less than it is now.

Because our politicians are gutless, and too easily influenced by someone waving fans of money in their faces. Shut down the employers of illegals, and the problem will start sorting itself out.
MY question is, ok, they say that, for example, Mexico's allegedly got a work-force of about 40 million, give or take, ok, so where's the mexican business entrepreneurs starting companies etc?
Why isn't Mexico actively employing more of its' citizens, getting its' own economy rolling, here? Why does the burden of supporting Mexico's poor somehow fall to the United States?
And, that goes for a lot of other countries, too. This isn't rocket science, this is about people learning enough about business to go into business and start companies. Being 1/2way responsible, self-supporting, that kind of thing, we're really not splitting the atom, here, just basic econ101.
Bluntly spoken, we're being played, if not by other countries, then by our own 'representation'...lies and more lies...and it's all about money.

Well, it's not really exploiting them, they come to this country knowing full well how they'll be treated, and they still choose to come. We don't send them home because an economy (whether you believe it or not) is made stronger when people work at a wage that is created through a natural equilibrium of supply and demand, not through an artificial minimum wage. Immigrants get better lives than they would in Mexico, and America's economy is strengthened.

If you are going to come into the country illegally, suck money from govt programs, head to florida to get a fake social security number, not pay any taxes, and find scams to get medicaid, then you get what you deserve.
I feel for people in poorer countries looking for a better life, but there is a right way and a wrong way to do it. Thems the breaks.

It's just another bad form of slavery, frankly. It's cheaper to exploit them than to pay Americans to do the job. It's bad policy, frankly.
Peace.
