An allen wrench to remove the caliper pins, and a c-clamp to depress the piston so the pads will fit over the rotor.

I have to agree with the Chevman....
And an FYI for others, many rear wheel disc brake calipers cannot be compressed with a 'C-clamp'. They have to be 'screwed' back into the bore if they are part of the emergency brake system.

Depends if you have disks, or drums in back. Disks are easy you only need to 1st get the wheel off, and then take out the pins holding on the caliber. Drums are a little more tricky. No offense, but if you need to ask, you really shouldn't be doing it, for your own safety and others on the road.

spring tools are cheap get them when you buy shoes replace the spring kits too. they are real cheap. get your drums turned. check for leaks in the slave cylinders. adjust and bleed them properly when you are done. if disc brake then pads and rotors. $150 and an hour a professional will have it done and you do not get dirty.
