OH MY GOD! Personally I think YOU are the one that is doing this to cats. I looked at your other answers you've left for people, and clearly you have a mental illness and you need to get help. If you are hurting animals, you are going to get yours in the end.
Here is proof people-
When answering a question about a cat having trouble coughing up hairballs he wrote: “When it's coughing, throw something at it like an ashtray or a beer. Try to scare it as bad as possible. The hairball will come right out.”
When answering a question about a cat possibly dying of cancer vs. putting it to sleep he wrote: “While you are petting it, snap it's neck.”
When answering a question about finding a kitten in a certain area he wrote: “Just steal one off the street like I do.”
When answering a question about cats wearing dog shock collars he wrote: “I did it once and it killed the cat. It wouldn't fit around it's neck so I had to strap it around it's body. Worked for a while but I think it stopped it's heart.”
YOU need to be reported to Animal Cruelty. Too bad I don't know who you are or where you live because you are a real jerk.

Um, no. That is not normal. It is becoming more of an uncommon and frowned up practice to have the surgury done, as when it is done properly, part of the bone is removed because the claws are attached. Imagine removing part of the bottom joint in your ring finger. Its very painful for cats, even when its done right. No wonder the cat looks uncomfortable. You should probably call someone, like animal control or something. She is probably senile and out of her friggin mind.

ya right . toenail clippers would not be able to cut through a grown cats toes especially by an 85 year old woman. i hope anyone else who reads this question figures that out before you get any more satisfaction by upsetting people.

First clue that this is a fake question:
Anyone who tries this without giving the cat painkillers that only a vet has access to would get torn to shreds by the cat.

I can't believe this is true! What anesthesia is she using? No cat would be able to go through this procedure without it... and I am sure this women is not able to drug them. Also, the cats would bleed to death, as this is a very bloody surgery without proper use of a tourniquet. If this WAS true...then she needs to be reported and will have her cats confiscated and fined heavily or jailed.

This woman needs to be reported for animal abuse immediately. There is no way a person can declaw their own cat. She is only causing pain and suffering and her cats may well die of infection.

I think this woman has mental issues. You need to call animal control ASAP. Your clue is that she's old and has a bunch of cats.
