what you see in your poop is actually the outside of the kernel... our bodies can only digest what is on the inside and what we can't digest just comes back out... simple as that... i also find it hard to believe that anyone can eat corn and not have this happen

The main reason you cannot digest corn is because humans lack the amino acid "lycene" which helps break down the corn husk. Beans contain the amino acid lycene which will allow you to digest corn fully.
Whenever you eat corn you need to include beans (Pinto, lima, soy, etc.)in order to digest the corn. Otherwise it will come out looking the same way it went in.
You can also break open the husk, (or "skin" encapsulating the corn kernel) by chewing. If it isn't broken open by chewing, you cannot digest the pulpy part of the kernel and it comes out just like it went in.

Tough outer shell. In her little genetic heart, Moma Corn is hoping you'll walk 1, 2 or 10 miles away from her and poop, like a good little vertebrate, thus leaving Baby to germinate far enough away from her that it will not compete for water or sunlight. Plus, Baby will have a small pile (or a BIG pile, if you are a buffalo) of fertilizer to start life with. That is what many plants do to propagate.
