we're both sophmores in high school that have been inseparable since the 7th grade. the only problem is that were defined- really defined- as friends. i love him, but i've dug myself in so far i don't know if i can ever tell him. we always talk about being friends and when people that don't know us well ask if were dating, we always laugh or joke and say "NOO!!!" we make comments about how awful it would be if we got married or something, but really i dream about it. i just want to know if if i tell him, would it ruin everything? is it worth risking what we have now as best friends? is it healthy to keep it inside?

try asking him, kinda like:
"OK, I want you to be honest with me" or something like that
he wouldn't want to lie after you say that
i never lied when girls started off questions like that

I've been through the same problem, yet he knew how i felt and i knew how he felt and in a way it cursed us. It's not healthy to keep it in but the question you really should be asking is, if you tell him and ruins things, will you be happy with that? Maybe you should try distancing yourself a little until you know your feelings are welcome, you never know, he may feel the same way about you and jokes with you about how it would be horrible to get married to hide how he does feel?

I don't believe it would ruin everything. Yes fallowing ur heart is worth risking it. Not it is not healthy to keep anything inside. If you love him most likely he loves you too.

well.....i say find a way to subtly tell him your interested in being more than friends. i believe it is always best to date your best friend because they are the one is going to be there for you. thats the way it happened for my. my good friend said he was intersted in me so we started dating . we have been together for 2 years and plan on getting married. so you never know.
