Mono is often accompanied with enlarged spleen and elevated liver enzymes. But otherwise, your symptoms do sound like mono which is caused by epstein barr (EBV is mono). I would recommend a different mono test than "monospot" or kit by wampole since I have had false negatives and prozone with wampole mono kits. Another indication is the CBC and differential. Presence of atypical lymphs indicates a viral infection or mono. The throat and tongue symptoms sound like bacterial, but since you have had multiple antibiotic treatments you may now be "blessed" with a secondary yeast infection called thrush. The swollen nodes are worrisome - and Hodgin's lymphoma should be ruled out. Also HIV should be ruled out. The tingling hands arms legs sounds like a symptom of inflammation versus infection. Throat cultures should be performed to rule out Strep which can cause Rheumatic Heart Disease or joint problems. But another possibility is allergies. These can cause a wide variety of symptoms and make your whole body feel like crap.
At this point you need to consult with your doctor again. Though sometimes the more they mess with you the more treatments you have to recover from.

fatigue and malaise aren't symptoms if you've been taking 18 days of anti-biotics, particularly if you had the other symptoms for 3 weeks before then

fatigue and malaise are likely just your body fighting off something, but if you'd had those symptoms for 3 weeks you need to see a doctor. if the doctor you have didn't call you back in when you didn't get better after taking anti-biotics, find a new doctor

i would get tested for aids, although symptoms usually do not occur, when hiv is transmitted up to two weeks after contracting it you will have symptoms, of the ones you have described and then may not have anymore for up to ten years, just to be safe get tested..........
