Yes Jesus prayed. He wasn't a prophet. And in answer to your question, Jesus sometimes prayed in the garden, and he always prayed alone. Here are some verses: Matthew 14:23, Mark 14:32, Luke 22:32 and Luke 11:1.

I hope that these verses will be of some help to you.

Jesus prayed many times. When he prayed, Father let this cup pass from me, but not my will but thine be done, is one the most heart wretching prayers he prayed in my opinion. It truly shows his love for all mankind. As far as how the prophets of old prayed, I had not heard that but I will research it for you and if I can find it anywhere I will get back to you. God Bless You.

Yes Jesus prayed.

Gen 48:12 And Joseph brought them out from between his knees, and he bowed himself with his face to the earth.
Josh 5:14 And he said, Nay; but as captain of the host of the LORD am I now come. And Joshua fell on his face to the earth, and did worship, and said unto him, What saith my lord unto his servant?
1 Sam 28:14 And he said unto her, What form is he of? And she said, An old man cometh up; and he is covered with a mantle. And Saul perceived that it was Samuel, and he stooped with his face to the ground, and bowed himself.
2 Chr 20:18 And Jehoshaphat bowed his head with his face to the ground: and all Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem fell before the LORD, worshipping the LORD.

The bible does not tell us if he prayed on his knees, or standing up or flat on his face. It just says he prayed. He went alone to pray... He prayed for others...He prayed with his disciples and they wanted to learn to pray like He did. It is not the position that is important but the attitude of the heart. Are you sincere? Are you selfish? Do you believe? The prayer of faith will save the sick and the Lord will raise them up... The favorite prayer that God likes to hear us pray, is.... Lord, be merciful to me, a sinner.

I don't know, but Jesus is only mentioned in the New Testament, so that probably won't help you in your search. But yes, Jesus did pray; he prayed all night before he was arrested.

I recall in the New Testament Him praying in the garden after the last supper, before He was put to death.

Also in the desert for 40 days & 40 night.

To read about Jesus you would want to read the New Testament. Yes, he prayed. Check any of the gospels.

He prayed in the manner of all Jews then and now. He stood and rocked back and forth.
