ask your doctor for painkillers and discuss the possibility of ear drum replacement surgery, if the rupture is of significant size, it may not heal very fast. during the surgery, they remove the eardrum and replace it with a synthetic one. you can't put your head in water for at least a month, but the results are worth it.
torn tissue is very prone to infection and the scar tissue from the healed drum will impair your hearing and be painful. whereas, a synthetic eardrum is very strong and not prone to ear infections or pain, plus it will not impair your hearing.

Take it from this nurse cal your doctor's office. It is a weekend and Monday is Labor day. But call and ask your doctor's answering service to have the doctor on call covering your doctor to call you. Tell the doctor about the pain and where the pain is radiating to. Tell him or her the medications your Doctor put you on.and check your temperature, if it's 99.0 or greater tell that to the doctor too. Tell the Doctor that the pain is so bad you can't eat. You may have an infection and the doctor may change your medication or add some medications. But call as soon as possible. even now. Make sure you have the name and phone number of your pharmacy . if it is not opened now, look for the nearest pharmacy to where you are that is open 24 hours a day and gave the doctor that phone number. Just call the doctor soon. I hope you will be well soon.

You really need to call your Dr again and I know it's the weekend but I would go into a walk in clinic and maybe they will give you something more, I don't want too tell you to take anything because we don't know how you will react.
I hope you feel better soon
:)

I would get in touch with the doctor again. Try using a heating pad for 10 minutes every two hrs.

That is painful.I would take some motrin,or alleve.I would definitely contact the dr and ask for something for the pain, tell him what you've told us,you should not have to deal with that.
