Early man did create Gods if you morons (How many Gods were created before we came down to an exceptible few, such as sun God, ect) ) could think out of the box you feeble minded people. Isn't that why God came up with "put no God before me" So man did create God just not in the scence we think of Him today. Wow

You are right. Man created god to explain happenings he didn't understand. Now he needs god to control the masses for his benefit and for that he wrote some books which he presumes to be "holy".

I agree with your premise completely. I wish we were at the point where an external God was unnecessary. But, the more we learn, the more we know we do not understand. Horizons of knowledge are opening to us at such a pace! It's a very big and frightening universe out there, and we have discovered ourselves a small and vulnerable species on a tiny and fairly insignificant planet among billions of others. Many people still need the swaddling blanket of a doting, human-centered God. Alas, no blanket for me.

Sure, it's obvious you still don't understand... But just to set the record straight.... God created you... Man did not create God... otherwise man would be God...and if he is, he sure does not act like God....well, some do...

Most people who choose not to believe in God are angry at God for something he did or did not do in their perception. Is that you? You really don't know Him. Have you ever read the book? Start In St John and learn about the one who really loves you...

You have that backwards my friend. Man did not create God, God created man in His own Image so that he could fellowship with us.

I suggest you sit down and read the creation account recorded in Genesis. God Bless You!!!!

You're greatly mistaken. He didn't create us to explain things He knows all. And how could we explain anything to Him when we know nothing. You don't ask the creation, you ask the creator. That would be kind of backwards for Him to ask us how does this work and why is that, when He created everything in the universe. Of course we still need God. He's all we need.

I think you may be confusing knowledge with wisdom.

We can know a lot of things, but to understand the ways of the world and why we think and feel the way we do, and to know the way to true inner happiness.... nobody can know that until they gain wisdom. That takes years.

I need God to guide me to that wisdom, and I think most people do, even if they don't realize it.

In the beginning God created mankind. Unfortunately, some of mankind rejected him and continue to reject him on a daily basis which sets them on the path of destruction because of their sinful ways yet God is still merciful to unbelieving sinners and his judgment on Earth is near. Unbelievers still need God while believers do have him.

sure...there are plenty of things in existence that lack "good" explanations....we just need a 21st century god...

A god that explains why "reality TV" is popular
A god that explains why "rap" is still around
A god that explains why David Hasslehof, Pamela Anderson and seemingly countless personalities are "stars"?
A god that explains why it is not considered OK to be illiterate but acceptable to have innumeracy?
A god that explains why POWN.pk has yet to move????
okay....a personal beef of mine...but a beef nonetheless
A god that explains why Pluto is not a planet anymore?
A god that explains how French Canadians can skate while the French can't ?
A god that allows politicians to lie for a living but punishes others for "fibbing"
A god that allows lawyers....

and countless others mysteries....

We need a bluetoothing, googlizing, [infinite]WAN god

Pretty much. I personally have no need for "god" or any such thing. I'm fully accepting of the fact that I can't answer everything, and that I don't NEED to answer everything.
