Dear, My son was just diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes in April. He's 32 and skinny. He met none of the typical markers for the disease. How we found it out was going to the Dr. but he presented lots of clues. He started out coming home and telling us that the road signs had got fuzzy....then was drinking quarts of ice water plus other things but we went to the doctor and his blood sugar was 475. Scared me. Normal is 80 - 120. Some folks will tell you a little different but no matter. My son has spent the last 4 months getting his meds right. Diabetes doesn't ruin you life, just makes you pay lots more attention to your health.
Please go to a Dr. and find out. Good Luck!

The best way to diagnose diabetes is to see your doctor! Depending on the kind of diabetes you have and how severe it is, you can treat it by doing things as simple as managing your diet better all the way up to daily insulin injections. Its effects vary from person to person. If you suspect that you or a loved one has diabetes, you should ask a professional.

You need to see a doctor and probably have a glucose tolerance test, unless a regular glucose test already shows you are off the charts.
Living with diabetes is a life style. You have to incorporate certain changes. But first you have to admit you got a problem, then learn how to deal with it.
