What are some simple signs that a girl is on her period? My girlfriend is very shy and will not tell me. Examples: wearing baggy clothes, darker pants (at the risk of leaking and it being visible). BTW are paleness and being cold also ways that you can tell?

The reasons I wanted to know are so that I can be understanding if/when she gets cranky and grumpy and distant towards me. PLUS, I am going to invite her swimming tomorrow and have heard that some girls do not like to swim while they are on their periods.

Typical signs are like you said chills, pale, swing moods, tired, cravings maybe for things she doesn't usually eat, headaches. Dont suggest chocolate or anything salty will just make swing moods worse.

If she wants you to know she will tell you. Don't pry. It is not easy to know if a man is just gonna accept this or make fun. It is an uncomfortable, painful, messy, embarrassing time. It is not a let's share time. If she goes pale and is cold she is probably sick. Some small signs that a woman(not a girl anymore) is having her period is darkness under the eyes. She may be against swimming but with tampons today most women swim, it is safe to do so. Also baggy clothes and dark pants mean nothing to todays women who can wear tampons and thin liners and thin pads. Just don't bother her over this ok. We own so little these days that one thing we cannot change much as we would like to, is ours, do you have to share absolutely everything? Do you get blue balls? Do you share it with her? Probably not huh? Embarrassing huh? My point.

you can tell if a girl is on her period if she starts wearing dark clothes and doesn't want to really get near you. There are some girls that girl really irritated about anything. (I don't know if your girlfriend is like that). Another way is if she is acting a little off, or if she seems just a little bit uncomfortable around people.

ok listen im a chick is ur gf normally real quiet if so she will be realy hper and loud or realy bitchy and loud baggy clothes yes she is scared a pad will show thew her tight jeans darker pants yes cuz she dont wanna bleed threw dah even my bf knows that ask her when she strts and find out when she ends and ever 28 days after she ends she strs 28 days later

Well, she's probably a lot crankier and has hot flashes. You can help her by buying chocolate, ice cream, and anything else that is sweet. I f she IS very irritable, don't tell her. She might beat you up.

Acne, headache, cramps, carrying a purse, not going swimming, not wanting sex. You simply ask her if aunt flow is here for a visit.

it always depends on the girls.... for me i wear darker pants and baggy shirts and hoodies.... my firneds wear skirts and some of them get really pissed at people really easily so girls are different when they get their period
