The chinese money is called Renminbi, which means "The People's Currency". The popular unit of RMB is yuan.

The conversion rate differs depending on which country you're in.
For australia it's $1 AUD = 7.50 RMB.

You may see a little sign that looks like a Y (with two lines accros the middle) infront of the amount, that's simply how they write a dollar sign
