why are people having so many religous arguments?

LIKE PEOPLE HAVE BEEN ASKING THE FOLLOWING QUETION(IM NOT ASKING THESE QUEATIONS!!!):IS GOD A WOMAN AND HOW DO YOU GET IN HEAVEN THOSE CRAZY QUESTIONS!!!. YEA IM VERY RELIGOUS THOUGH

For one thing, the wars we are involved in right now--in Iraq and Afghanistan--have taken on a "religious" aura. At least, some of the Muslims involved are treating it as a holy was, a jihad. So, many of the people who get on this site want to make their feelings known about their beliefs.

For another, George W. has a very fundamentalist leaning--and following. So, even tho' our founding fathers are probably spinning in their graves, our "political" system seems to bring up religion a lot these days.

Then we have the Christians who seem to think the only way to Heaven is to proselytize. (Funny, because they're always saying that you can't "good deed" your way into Heaven; you can only get there by acknowledging that Christ is our Savior)

And then, we have the clowns who like to bait these people. And, I have to admit, it IS sometimes funny.

I'm a Christian, but I don't worry about people asking if God is female--heck, maybe She is! I personally feel that everyone needs to lighten up a bit, but I feel like I'm only a v oice in the wind.....................

I don't have a problem with debating that can be healthy but I don't understand putting down another persons beliefs. It seems like people are not very tolerant anymore. You used to ask a person what their religion was, they would tell you and you would file it away as just another part of who the person is. Maybe why they don't do yard work on Saturday or why they make the sign of the cross before a meal.

I'm an atheist but I would never call a Christian, Muslim, Mormon, Jew, etc. names or denigrate his/her religion or their beliefs.

Life is sometimes hard and whatever makes it meaningful and good for you is fine with me.

When you ask a question like "Is God a Woman" and such it means that you are not sure yourself, but you want to justify your erroneous thoughts so you can feel good if at least on other person agrees with you.

There are a lot of CRAZY questions here......and then again people have nothing better to do. I usually skip over whatever I consider stupid. I am not interested in points.

Some people have to make fun of what they really don't know. The basic high school behavior.( You're different, so I am going to make fun of you.) Some people never grow up. Some people don't take things seriously, everything is a joke. And these people have access to the Internet. Nothing we can do about that but have patience.

Mostly because people are brain-washed into believing in some rediculous religion at a young age. And as they grow older, they become more, and more stubourn and won't except that what they have been taught their whole live is nothing more than a fairy tale.

why are you yelling by using caps? Aren't you trying to start a religious argument just by the tone of your question? Why are you asking these questions? Maybe when you can answer that, you can answer why other people often bring up religious questions.

When it comes to religion... everyone always has their own answer, and it is a rare occasion when anyone agrees with anybody else about what they have decided is true.

Many a war has been fought due to the "My God has a bigger thingy than your God" circumstance.
