Do they have a logical explanation with actual proof or are they using it as a scapecoat like Hitler (jackass) did with the Jews?

They are the brain-washers, not the psychiatrists

(Never trust a religion founded by a man who wrote terrible science fiction books)

Because they believe that all ills can be cured by taking their treatments . Which from what I have read is like medatation and such to align the Charkas. through electronic means rather than taking drugs or talking through your problems to get some different prespectives. And costs a lot more thousands of dollars per treatment for some cures.a rich persons religion.

Scientologists say "mind over matter".
Psychiatrists say "matter over mind".

I think Scientologists hate psychiatrists because scientology patients (that's all they are. Nothing more, nothing less) tend to be "normalized" by the drugs given to them by their psychiatrists. This reduces the potiential number of Scientologic therapy sessions, because the patient's reaction to negative stimulii isn't as dramatic as it normally would be.

Psychiatrist rely on expensive drugs (sometimes experimental) and kickbacks from pharmaceutical companies to make a living off the ailments of the masses. Psychiatrists don't try to change the way a person thinks, they just counteract the biological aspects of stress and dysfunction with chemicals.

Scientologists rely on galvanometers (which are alot like lie detectors) to detect "stress" and help the person desensitize themself by thinking of traumatic events over and over...kind of like watching a horror movie over and over until you aren't scared anymore.

It's all about the money.

Peace

Let us be clear
A religion searches for Truth (no matter how misguided they are all they really want to do is know Truth)

Scientology does not seek Truth, it is science fiction crap that has less basis in reality than Santa Claus. They are a cult and a poorly formed, idiotic one at that.

Edit: My point I forgot to make is they shouldn't even be a topic on this board. They do not deserve the same attention as religions and spirituality.

Because they don't want people to find out that they are crazy, so they scorn psychiatry. Actually the belief system was based on a guy who hated psychiatry because he was crazy him self and had to deal with them.

They use a goofey idea dreamed up by a fiction writer, Ron Hubbard... which is supposed to 'clear' them of all negative emotions... It's nuts... They have to pay big bucks to go through a session. It is supposed to heal them of their past hurts and make them better people. Most of them did not even know they were 'unclear' until they had a session and need to pay and pay and pay...

Ron Hubbard had the idea of you want to get rich, create your own religion and that is just what he did. He was a kook.

It's obvious why Tom Cruise hates it, it would prove he's gone nut's. Not good for the career, until later when he writes his Bio.
