God is the most just being in existence. There is no way he is sending an innocent soul to purgatory or hell.

Pergatory is a primary Catholic belief not shared by other Christains.

Protestants generally belive in the concept of the Rapture when God and Jesus come back during the fight of good and evil and at that time names from the book of life will be read. Many young children may go to heaven, as they are generally too young to sin willfully, but a few might. Depends on what they did in life.

I do not believe in a pergatory. It was an invention by the Catholic church so that the rich could sin on earth and still go to heaven after a short stint in pergatory to purge their sins. Of course, the church demanded money from these fools. In other words, the rich believed that they could buy their way into heaven with the Pope's blessings. What a joke. There is also something called "limbo." This is usually where unbaptized children went. But none of this is true. It is like when the church demanded that no meat other than fish could be eaten on Fridays, then changed it ions later. Did the people who ate meat go to pergatory or hell and then get paroled once the man-made law was changed? The bottom line is there is no heaven, no hell, no pergatory and no limbo. I believe that we pay for our transgressions by being reborn into new bodies and sent back to earth to rectify our sins. It is like the wash and rinse cycle. Our soul never dies and it can only get back to the "Source" blemish-free. We are God seeds and S/He wants to be reunited with all of us but only if we are free from sin. Afterall, who would want to be a pimple on God's butt! Try hard to be good and do believe in a higher power. In the end, God does not judge us--we judge ourselves and we know when we have reached purification. He patiently waits for us to learn our lessons. That baby is waiting for its time to return and be reunited with all those that need his/her knowledge. That baby is sleeping for now.

He will go to heaven. Children are innocent. They don't have sin. Original sin was done away with when Christ attoned for our sins, including Adams. To sin, you have to understand and be able to comprehend sin. A child that young may know they have done something wrong, but can't understand why it's a sin. The are held spotless before God. I don't think a loving, merciful God would look at a child and send then to pergetory, hell, whatever you want to call it. That would not be merciful, or loving.

I had a son that was stillborn. He is in heaven. I know this for a fact. My prayers were answered about this subject and from study, and from answers to prayers and talking with church leaders, I know that he is in heaven and that all children who die go to heaven.

Pray about it. Ask God to help you to know the answer, to show you the truth. I think you will be suprised by the answer.

People have asked the churches to answer this type of question for years, and really it says in the Bible that only God judges people. Personally it seems to me that a child of 6 would go straight to heaven, because he hasn't had a chance to experience enough of life to really be a sinful person. Although little children do misbehave, they don't have full understanding of what they are doing in terms of faith.

the Bible says that when a child reaches the age of accountability, in other words, when a child is old enough to understand who God is and what God offers him, then it's up to him where he spends eternitiy. if he died before he could understand that then he would go to Heaven. that age is different for everyone. for some it is very very young, like 4, and for others it's much older, maybe 10 or 12... if they just don't hear about God and all then they could die an old man and still go to Heaven, but once they know the truth, it's all up to them to act upon it.

I believe that children dying is the most horrific thing in this world. I believe they go straight to heaven. In the Bible it does talk about an age of accountability, it says that we are not accountable until age 12. I believe they go to heaven. But I also believe that when someone you love very much dies, God may let you see them maybe just a glimpse, I believe that if he does that it's just to let you know that they're alright.

There is no Biblical basis for purgatory. There is Heaven or Hell. As far as children are concerned, before they reach the age of reasoning, they go straight to Heaven.

i beleive that the children will go straight to heaven, because child are not sinners (not strongly) and God will show is love for children by giving the greatest gift of all. "And if you get my comandments and endure until the end you shall have enternal life, which gift is the great gift of all the gift of God" children do keep the commandend and do endure until the end. hope that answer it.

According to Catholic doctrine, if the child was baptized - heaven is automatic up until the "age of reason" - which I think is 7 years old. After a child is deemed old enough to "confess", sin becomes a problem. This is how I remember it - granted it's been a LONG time.

I wonder about this myself . It doesn't mention kids going straight to heaven, and there is no mention of pugatory in the Bible. The bible says that we go to our resting place until He raises us up. I can't help but think that babies/children get their wings right away though. Jesus loved the little children. He didn't want anyone to keep them from him. He also said if anyone wants to get to heaven they must become like little children.
ps I am so sorry about the third guys answer....Take care and God bless.
