A sommelier is someone who selects and serves wine and is probably a connoisseur as well. An oenophile is a wine lover, and probably a connoisseur also. But you can be a connoisseur without being a sommelier, but I doubt you can be a connoisseur without being an oenophile.

I think the simple word "expert" would suffice. After all, an expert or connoisseur, according to the Merriam- Webster Dictionary, is "one who understands the details, technique, or principles of an art and is competent to act as a critical judge
2 : one who enjoys with discrimination and appreciation of subtleties - a connoisseur of fine wines"
I believe it is always better to use the ordinary words in a definition so more people can understand what you are trying to say.

An oenophile is a wine lover. Here is a fun oenophile site:

A sommelier is a wine waiter in a restaurant, and while we hope such a person is also a connoisseur, I think oenophile is the synonym you are looking for.

Oenophile or Enophile - meaning wine lover from the Greek words for wine and love.

Sommelier is the French word for a worker responsible for the service of wine.

Either Sommelier or Oenephile. A sommelier is someone who works in restaurants and hotels dealing specifically with their wine. An Oenephile is someone who enjoys wine but does not necessarily work with wine on a day to day basis.

There are also Wine Consultants, which work with wine every day but don't necessarily work for one specific restaurant or hotel. Of course, there is the name that we don't like to hear and that is Wine Snob but they are a rare breed of wine enthusiasts and not easily found.
